1/3 nl. Villain has $250 eff. Hero has him covered. Villain appeared to be a beginner based on his movements in the game. It wasn't his first time playing, but he was clearly inexperienced at least for live games. He was also a maniac. He played every hand and made big bets with random hands, often not showing down but there's no way he had it every time. When he first sat down, he called a $250 all-in preflop with Qc 2s. The board ran out with four spades and he won the pot with a 2 high flush. He then lost it all back on the very next hand. However, he also showed down plenty of good hands and even nutted hands at other times.

So I have Jc 10c on the button. Villain raises to $15, someone else calls and I call.

Flop comes 6c 6s 8c

Villain checks, other guy checks, and I bet $15. Villain calls and the other guy folds.

The turn brings the Qc. Now villain leads for $35. I decide to smooth call in position.

The river is another Q, double pairing the board. Now Villain thinks for a second and goes all-in for $200.

Call or fold?

Inexperienced players arent often maniacs, thats really weird. Calling an AIPF or calling down big bets with not enough makes plenty of sense, but bluffing everyone out doesnt. You say he cant have it every time, but i feel like maybe he can have it a lot more than you think, and you said yourself that when he showed down he had it. When a guy is playing a 100% range, even when he folds the flop 50% of the time, he is still mixing it up an outsized %.

I dont buy your read, and i might just raise turn. Youre IP but your hand is vulnerable to Q, 8, 6, clubs.

As played id fold river, because, again, i dont trust your read.

Weird one. I get the urge to call, but I need to be at the table to get a live read before I put in $200 vs. this guy with a Q-high flush on a double-paired board.

This is an overbet and it’s easy for him to have Q, 6, 88. Maybe he thinks the nut flush is really good. I would fold.

Fold. I don't like to call under the assumption the V doesn't know what he's doing. I get most equity from those who think I don't know what I'm doing.

I folded. Never found out what he had, but my friend was saying I was crazy and I definitely had the best hand. Figured I'd ask. I think there's like a 30% chance I was good, but imo it's a fold against pretty much any opponent.
