The fact that we got a caller doesn't make it a good play. It MAY be a good play, but the extent that OP seems to think it narrowed his opponent's range tends to indicate its a bad play. I tend to agree that by raising so much we are making a lot of the hands that we get value from to fold. If they are folding most hands that aren't strong PP/AK we are reducing our ability to get value from hands when we flop the best hand.
