2pm 2/5 new table, game started just about 1 hour.
Preflop
UTG(Asian fish, stack 300), raise to 10(fish does what fish does)
MP1(stack 500, early 20s young skinny guy, not that great overall, seen him called a 400 all on a Q86Q9 board with AQ lost to a boat),
MP2 call
Button call
Hero (800 stack, TAG Image, Asian young 20s) at SB with TJo call
BB call
Pot:60
Flop:
TcTs6h, rainbow board
UTG bet 20, MP1 call, fold to Hero, call, BB fold
Pot:120
Turn:
Ac
UTG bet20, MP1 raise to 45, Hero call, UTG call
Pot:230
River:
Td
Board: TT6AT
Hero lead out 200, UTG fold, MP1 think for 10 seconds call.
Now think back, do I miss a lot of value? what's the best way to maximize the value?
Preflop: price is good, call, even though TJo not a great hand to play in sb, often flop Middle Pair or TP weak kicker, or drawing straight oop, BUT, it's 10 to 1.
Flop: clear cut check call, should be the best hand 80% the time, only lost to 66, T with better kicker. although AT is unlikely(all call pre) but can't rule out.
MP1 range is A high, gun shot,middle pair,Tx
Turn:
UTG keep betting 20, it's obviously so weak.
now MP1 raise. his range shrink to Ax, Tx, flush draw with a pair or just attack weak UTG.
My thought at the time is:
if I raise MP1 on the turn now, my hand is pretty much face up and I won't one more st value on the river.
If I just call, it can keep fish still in the pot, and I can still get paid on the river. also, MP1 can still have AT-QT.
River:
this where I'm not 100% sure about
should hero go for a check raise?
if MP1(400 behind) has an A and I check, he'll bet 100-200, then I shove, he proabbly couldn't get away with it.
what you guy's thoughts on this one?
Thanks!
