I guess this might be a math question, but if V makes a Lol, 3bet and thus announces AA/KK what is your decision making process look like to call or not? I think having a pocket pair is easy as you just ensure you are ~10x deep of the bet.

But what if you have AJs? 78s? Multiple callers? Anything more nuanced or just muck and move on?

10x deep is hardly break even. 20x and if you know he'll go broke with an OP is better. The people who do this are afraid someone will call and bust them. If you really think he has aces, just fold unless you have a multiway hand with a lot of callers.

For set mining villain has to be really bad before you should go as low as 10X, a lot of good players will never go that low but I will vs certain bad stations. If I can pin their range at QQ+, they will usually go broke even if an over card hits and they are readable enough I can sometimes avoid going broke in set over set situations I will go as low as 10X. Even against run of the mill bad villains start at 15X, if they are generally competent and have AK in their range then 20X. If it's likely to go 4+ to the flop start chucking low pairs because RIO becomes a problem.

With suited connectors JTs down to 65s look for 20X to start and preferable 30X or more. Which pretty much precludes it happening in 3 bet pots but it will occasionally. These hands can actually benefit from having more callers but remember the more people the better you need to flop.

All of the AX suited hands should be chucked if you can pin villain's range at QQ+ or better. You can construct situations where they would be playable but they don't happen enough in reality to worry about.
