5/5 game 9-handed. Effective stack is around 900 right now.

Hero in BB with 62o

HJ limps in, everyone else folds, BB checks. Pot is $10

Flop comes 669 rainbow. Hero checks, HJ bets $10, hero raises to $50, HJ calls. Pot is now $110

Turn comes 5. Hero checks, HJ bets $70, hero calls. Pot is now $250

River comes a 2. Hero bets $150, villain raises $500. Hero has to call $500 to win $1.4K. What should the hero do?

Hard to think of what a villain could have that you beat. But you've got to Zeebo.

If it's 5/5 and HJ open limps and BB checks, doesn't that mean SB also checked and the pot is $15?

Flop I lead out in a limped pot. AP I don't raise as much, 9x is unlikely to call this size.

If river pot is $500 and hero bets $150 and villain makes it $500, then hero calls $350. I call this without reads, think he shows up with 96s / 99 quite often but maybe he has 78s or is random spazzing. I'm a station though. If villain seems at all passive I'm folding because there is no worse boat in range.

I don't like the way this was played, starting with a c/r otf, I would be thinking about buildng a pot at that point not chasing people out of it.

The way hero played it (like raising the flop then c/c'ing the turn) makes it look like hero's weak/scared. The villain could be doing this with any 6.

I happily call.

There are worse boats - 22 is a worse boat.

78 is very possible here.

99 is very unlikely given he limped pre.
65, and 55 are also likely.

So if he only limps suited low cards...?...then 78 has 4 combos, 65 has 3 combos, 55 has 3 combos. Also he can have A6s (1 combo) 76 (1 combo) or 86 (I combo).

7 we beat, 6 we lose to plus random factor makes this an easy call.

I said 'worse boats in his range', he should not have 22 here. Anything is possible of course but ranging our opponents is impossible if we don't exclude hands based on action.

You think it's 'likely' villain is calling a $50 raise into a $20 pot on this flop with 55? Think we need reads to make this assessment.
