Guess river is a lead for about 3/4 pot. Would have preferred a check raise or lead on flop. We are making pretty much the minimum here.

I considered xr flop but the texture was so dry just thought it would get too many folds to make it +ev, I think I actually prefer a flat on flop with a lead on turn

I don't totally hate flatting the flop because it is a relatively dry board. It just depends on the V and whether or not he has a fold button with Kx. If he's sticky and you think he'd call the c/r because you're repping such a narrow range, then I'd prefer to do just that. If you think he'd fold hands as strong as KQ/KJ here, then flatting is probably the right play.

The A on the turn kind of sucks for us. Not from the standpoint of whether we still have the best hand, but it serves as a scare card to Vs holding Kx (although it really shouldn't in this particular hand). Had a low card came OTT then I might have gone for the c/r, hoping V would bet a K again. With the A falling, I'd be more inclined to lead turn as I think V will check back most of his range here unless he has 2p.

As played, I'd lead $70-$80 OTR.

I don't like your flat on the flop.

You're Ł600 deep against an unknown on a London Ł1/Ł2 table. You have to build a pot; its a disaster for us if a J comes on the turn say and he decides to check back. Hitting flops hard like these is how and why you can have huge +500-1000BB sessions at Ł1/Ł2.

If he folds JJ, or even KJ to your raise then unlucky. Note that we can also set ourselves up for a massive cooler if he has a hand like QJ or QT 300BB deep by just flatting. Its a bit of an extreme situation, but it can cost you your entire stack when it does happen.

gl!

As the others said, I think my preference on a flop line is donk > check/raise >>> check/call. As played, bet $70-90 on the end.

I would have reraised 99 in EP against a BTN or LP raise.

As played, donk bet $60 into the raiser. You have to use strong hands and play for stacks when the opportunity arises. Build a pot and if raised, time to go AI.

Agree with most sentiments above, flop needs to be a Check/Raise to build a pot. As played, something like 75-80% pot bet the River for value.

Thanks for feedback. I actually x called river and he showed ak, terrible I know. In my defense I have only just started playing in this game recently but I agree with the consensus, I should be trying to play for stacks against second best hands. With hindsight I think I would prefer to donk flop here and just lead all 3 streets. Cheers
