This hand may be a bit spewy, but I think I did the right thing.

V1- ( 260)I have been a thorn in his side. When I sat down he was up to 600 from a 200 buy in. Known gambler around town, not good but plays a lot and has a ton of money. Plays a few bigger games I play so I thought sitting with him would help get me info. Our history was short but 'I felt I had enough knowledge about his spewy type. I had previously called 2 barrels from him with middle pair on a wet board and was good after checks on the river. He c/c, led 50 and checked. He asked me after the hand if I call an all in. I told him I didnt know and I guess we would see later. He showed me something many do in our area, which is bet out gutterballs when all else fails and he cant win on the strength of his hand. Also saw him call with A high on a rainbow board to pay off middle set. Just the greatest guy ive ever sat with.

V2-(250) Older man, nitty but willing to gamble with any ace. Hasnt shown down anything less than top two. Small issue but has only called Hero once on straddle with ako

Hero- (400)running well, Lag image, but showing up with hands when need be. Took a lot of easy pots on straddle by making 2.5-3.5x raises after limpers. I was trying to use my image to take down 22 bucks when this hand happened. Ps. I never got check raised once.

1-3 Boga

Hero- Ms straddle on button for $10
V1-Call 10
mp- Fold
mp- fold
lp-fold
V2- call 10
lp fold
Hero 10d5s- raise to 40 ( yes I know Im repping a hand with napkins, but this 30 on top bet had me freerolling on this raise)
V1-call
v2-call

Flop 9h8d5c pot- 122
V1-check
v2-check
Hero- bet 50
v1- thinks then calls
v2- groans and folds

At this point I dont think Im being trapped by the nuts due to a comment about not playing "those damn number cards" I think he is calling with a lot a dry 6x or7x hands. He plays ABC so I dont think he dosent bet if he hits this flop. I think he has a range of A6-7, or k 6-7 half the time. Has a pair and pull type hand with 5 20 percent and were killed 30 percent based on my judgement of this player. Then again I could be justifying being an idiot.

Turn- 2c pot- 222

V1- bet 50
Hero- calls quickly

The quick call on the turn is a mix of blocking a river shove and the bet size had I still have a draw written all over it. I think its possible he picked up clubs so this keeps my 5 ahead of a good bit of his range. I wondered about click raising, but with stack sizes it would have been all in, which is what I wasnt sure about. I didnt want to call my chips with bottom pair, but also didnt want to shove with it... At this point im wondering why im trapped in a hand with bottom pair and no draw. Hating life. Considering work at Mcd's. Gotta stick with the read tho.

River- Qd pot 322
V1- All in for 120
Hero-?

Arg dumb spot to get in. Help me poker world!

OTF, I like a check the most. If you're c-betting, I like making it 70 or 75 to eliminate more speculative hands and simplify the action altogether. Then, if someone calls, you have effective stacks of ~150 and a pot of ~260. I figure you're more likely to get folds from weak pairs that have you beat, and any calls from draws are terrible.

OTT, I think you should just fold. In your earlier hand/s with this guy, he did the same thing on a wet board with a probable draw. There aren't many draws out there here, and the backdoor clubs aren't a big factor. Therefore, we are facing a stronger hand much of the time, and even when we are ahead, we don't like most rivers and are setting ourselves up for a nasty spot if he pushes.

OTR, I think you should muck. We're already well behind his range, and any flop overs+str8 draws just got there. The only draws we beat are 6-7x and missed clubs (without a Q).

Against this guy, I like waiting for a better spot in general, even if this line is +EV. You were taking it down preflop on your straddles before, so when you get called pre, you don't want to bloat the pot with bottom pair.

If you have a LAG image, then why did you think you would get respect for raising your straddle?

J5o is such a trash hand just see flop.

Flop bet had your best chance of taking down the hand, but once you got called by V1 I would be done putting any more money in this pot.

You are in such a crappy spot, playing a crappy hand. There are so many easier ways to make money in 1/2 then being overly aggro with bottom pair.

Completely agree.

I want to know why you were raising after the flop, when you know V1 is going to keep calling. The ONLY thing he could have which you beat is complete air. ANY other made hand, even a middle pair, beats you.

Based on what you already knew about V1, you were basically throwing money away the entire time.

You could also just throw money in an open fire. Everything your saying about villain and yourself goes against everything your doing. I do the same on occasion but this is even beyond my pyro spews

Yeah, I was thinking about how horrible this was. Had 2 better spots during the next 4 hand of the session. I felt so bad about how bad I had played this, I wasnt even proud of myself. Thx
