Hero (1400): LAG image. I probably have a tilt image now. Have lost a lot of big pots in the past 3 hours. Im in for 5k
V1(4500): Good LAG player. Met him today. He has been doing a lot of 3betting against me
V2 (1600): Fish. He likes to call pre flop expecting to hit with bad odds

Blinds 5-10

OTH
Hero raises on MP to 40 with JsTs, V1 3bets me to 110 on LJ, V2 flat calls on SB, hero decides to call.

Why not fold pre? Ive been getting 3betted by this guy a lot the past hours and he has been seen doing aggressive moves. But he looks like a really good player

Flop (340): KcJd7c
V2 checks, hero checks, V1 checks

Turn (340): Kh
V2 checks, hero checks, V1 bets 225. V2 instant folds, hero calls

River (790)
Hero checks, villain goes all in for 1065.

Personally, if the guy has the looks of a "really good poker player" what range are you putting them on?

Having played poker about 85% of my life on tilt, having that guy check raise, or 3-bet you many times in a couple of hours is super frustrating, even more so if you never get the hand to show down.

Calling with JTs with the answer to why your calling is "because he has been 3 betting me a lot." doesn't sound like sound pre flop fundamentals. Sometimes good players get run over by the deck and just have good hands when they are 3 betting.

What was the plan on the Turn when you called?

Really struggling with his range here.

Good LAGs generally don't slowplay, because the whole idea is you never know what they have when they're agressive, so we can probably discount AA, KK, AK, KJ, JJ, which if he doesn't have a King, you could still easily, and he's not given up on river.

QQ or AJ could be consistent with flop check, turn bet, but would he shove with that on River?

This is highly polarized; he's nutted or FoS. I feel it's closer to FoS, and he's seeing weakness in you both checking twice, but I don't play this high level.

Fold to the three bet preflop, fold on the turn and river. With middle pair, try to get to showdown cheaply. Fold to aggression.

Is he "3betting you a lot" compared to proper player or how the table usually plays?

It's pretty rare that people actually 3bet more than they should. What usually happens is someone starts 3betting the proper amount and since live poker usually doesn't have enough 3betting.....it seems like they are being overly aggressive. When in fact they are being properly aggressive.

That being said, calling with JT at some frequency here is fine preflop.

Turn call is fine.

River is 50/50. Can make a case for calling or folding.

The plan was to call a normal size bet in case blank hits

Spoiler:

I am going to make my response without reading the spoiler.

The fact that he 3bet you a lot today doesn't mean much in and of itself. Good players are going to 3bet a lot and cold call much less frequently. And then him running a little good pre can make it seem like he is 3betting to often. But the hand he has shown down are more important. Is he 3betting you with KJo pure preflop? 76s pure? ATo pure? Or is it more like a normal range? Does he also cold call a lot?

And what have been his postflop tendencies, especially multiway?

Preflop this is a good illustration of why I like smaller preflop sizes. You aren't thrilled to get 3bet.

I think calling or folding is fine to 3bet pre.

Flop is standard.

Turn is standard.

River sucks. He should check flop a fair amount multiway even with Kx.

Just because he is a LAG doesn't mean he doesn't slow down multiway. LAGs like to be bluff, aka they like being tricky. Checking a strong hand is tricky.

I am not sure he takes this line with QQ. I mean, in his mind, your range is mostly capped to not having Kx after checking turn. Unless you just have a monster like JJ or KJ, 77. So he could be going for thin value with QQ I suppose.

I think you actually have a lot of traps in your range. Are you 4 betting JJ? Because you have JJ, 77, and KJs for 7 potential combos, and you don't really need to bet those on the turn. Do you bet them though? Then 3 combos JT, 3 combos QJ, maybe 3 close AJ if you don't bet turn, and maybe some nutflush draws.

I think your hand is very cuspy. Probably better than AJ since his bluffs are going to contain AQ and AT, and he should have a lot of combos of AQo. I don't know if he takes this line with AJ. He could going thin with AA too I guess, although if he does that he should probably do that with QQ also.

I mean, if he had clubs, better chance he bets flop. Even if he had diamonds and a gutshot, I feel like he might be flop more. So you shouldn't be too afraid of flush draws on the turn and you might want to trap some hands like KdTd and KdQd + boats, let him fire off his AQ/AT/QT combinations with hearts and spades start bluffing like a true LAG. Then I think you can safely fold your hand without being too worried about getting exploited.

Okay going to read the spoiler now.

Spoiler:
Yikes. That is thin.

This might be a sign villains think you aren't trapping enough and stationing too much.
