Let's all call the Fed to tell them to hold off on the UIGEA regs. For those of you that do not keep up with the legislative forum, please read this thread and help fight against the UIGEA regs that the current administration is pushing through before Obama takes over.

Is there a decent chance that this will get passed? b/c this would effectively kill online poker in the U.S.

Also, this shouldn't cause like a massive rush of people emptying out their accounts should it?

no, from what I know, there is no need for a mass emptying of accounts. These regulations would make it more difficult to fund your account, which wouldnt allow any of the fish to deposit money into poker accounts. However, there shouldnt be any change in poker sites ability to pay you your money. The exact language of the regulations has not been published to my knowledge, so we dont know what methods would be included. (credit cards already, checks? echecks? other online methods?)

What we do know is that if this regulations do get passed, it will become even harder for fish to deposit onto sites. Also, it would be a pretty big step in the wrong direction for online poker becoming legalized.

I urge all of you that enjoy playing/ enjoy making money to educate yourself on what is going on and how you can help voice your opinion to the people that are passing these regulations.

Calling/emailing the numbers/ email addresses can only help our cause.

why isn't this getting more responses? this isn't just another paranoid poker-is-about-to-end freak out. there is a decent chance this will actually kill online poker in the US.
