good play or bad play??? good play or bad play???

hey guys i played a hand last night that left me wondering if i made the correct decision any input will be much appreciated

it was a private game with 1/1 blinds with a bunch of loose aggressive players my image is that of a stone cold rock nit....though i'm just a thinking player and they are all a bunch of deranged maniacs lol

people like to limp a lot see lots of flops and then go crazy

it plays pretty shallow stacks are always around 50-60BB deep

i was sitting on 39BB on a tight image

on an 8 handed table with J5o in the SB everyone limps i check we see the flop it comes 5d8h5h i hit trips and check, the loose aggressive BB with a 70BB stack bets $12 on an $8 pot and the crazy maniac MP with 27BB stack flat calls everyone else folds when it's my turn i move all in for 39BB, BB tanks for a while then folds MP lets it go immediately showing the 8, BB tells me he folded the other 5 because he had a 7 kicker and he just knew i had the 5 with an above average kicker

my reasoning for moving in is that i was down and kind of card dead all night, there was already around 37BB in the pot, if i just flat call and another heart, 8 or bigger face card comes i'm pretty much screwed and i'm capable of letting trips go so i just figured if he's got the boat or has me outkicked i'm cooked anyways and i could get heart draws to fold or charge max price for the draw....if i min-raised it would be pretty obvious i had the 5 and i would be leaving only 15BB behind, also if called on the flop i had the option of running it twice at the end....i think the BB was the only guy on the lineup last night able to fold trips on the flop the other guys would've called for sure, and he only did it because i'm known as the rock

any thoughts??

If you're a rock and they're all psychos and everyone known this, then anything you do other than fold is going to look super strong. I'm fine with ripping in 40bb cuz they have tons of draws. What you should be asking is: How do I use the fact that these glue sniffers are massively over folding to me to my advantage?

Totally agree with above, you should be pushing your draws hard if this is how they react to your aggression.

Little else there matters. You have so little in front of you, you get sucked into any pot. Top up or leave. Your lack of stack isn't lowering your risk like you think it is. It's raising it.

You're playing against crazy people and you're seeing as tight. They want you calling because they think then you don't have much and will fold. When you raise, because you're a tight player, they have a strong suspicion that you have a good hand.

There's not sufficient money in the pot YET for you to shove. What you do here in position is call. You do that, the post is then $44. You'd have $27 left. The other guy who says he has trips would either shove or have a much harder time folding since he'd be calling 2$27 to win ~$90.

It's nice to have home games without rake, but you guy should make people buy in for more. Low stacked cash games are just random with little skill involved.
