Blinds $1-2, but the most you can raise is $100 over the previous bet.

An MP limp and I raise QcJc to $14 in the CO. Button, SB, BB and limper call. Stack sizes between $150 and my $400.

FLOP: Tc9d3s (pot: $70, 5-ways)

First three guys check to me and I have no idea what I want to do because I know NOTHING about what to do when 4 guys call your raise and the game isn’t even real no-limit.

Whooos, title says 4-ways, but we are 5-ways.

I'm checking to realize my equity... same as in no limit. Why bet?

Yep, def checking. If BTN stabs at it, I might consider a C/R semi-bluff if all fold, but just C/C if anyone else calls.

Logic compels me to think there must be an optimal approach to this spread limit game structure. Don't know if this would be correct, but my first thought is to do a lot of limping pre, fast play thick value post, and otherwise play pot control when we have marginal value or some reasonable draw.

Otherwise, my instinct says we need to bump up our pre flop raise size in a game where opponents don't like to fold pre-flop.

If all the stacks were deeper, I could see c-betting here, with just the BTN behind us. Even though a T9X flop is going to make someone 2P+ fairly often, we could call a check-raise if the SPR was higher.

But in this case, with $70 in the pot, and some $150 starting stacks involved, we don't want to get check-raised and face a decision to call off with only a semi-decent draw or fold away a ton of equity, so I'd just check and see what develops.

If the turn completes our straight, blast off. If the turn gives us. BDFD, we can bet small or call a bet. If we make a pair, that will mostly suck, and I'd mostly be done with it.

RESULT: I checked the flop, Button checked behind.

Turn: Tc9d3s 6h (pot: $70, 5-ways) Everyone checks again, I can’t represent anything so I check, Button bets $20, there’s one call, I call to close action.

River: Tc9d3s 2h (pot $150, 4-ways). Check check I check Button bets $50, BB calls, other two fold. Button has 74o and BB has 32o.

Like, what game even is this?

idk i think you can bet and it seems like most people in your game are too loose pre / too weak tight in general. if you bet like 25 it seems pretty clear we call even vs max raise and then given spread limit you cant really get pushed off your draw ott so i dont rly think thats a concern. turn i dont really get checking most of / entire range otf and not betting this ott for some sizing (you will have a few two pairs, a bunch of tpgk / overpairs, and some straights / sets). im not saying to go apeshit multiway but this is pretty clearly our best possible bluff / semi bluff otf and i dont see that much reason to play it passively
