I played with him for a few hours before this hand he just seemed like an average middle aged tight rec.

I don’t love flatting pre, would mostly look to 3 bet or fold.

Unless he has one of the three combos of 77/66/JJ I don’t see how he can hold on against a turn barrel, let alone a turn and river barrel. Cool, he beats 3 combos of 76s and a few 78s, he loses to all of our sets, flushes and for all he knows we are the type of player who raises Jx on the flop.

I've seen that player type gii on flops like this one with tptk, but maybe that's a bit of a stretch 300bb deep.

550-600 - Key question is trying to evaluate how likely V is to fold in real time (and what your plan is for the river). Got to figure he's most likely to have an overpair or AK/AQ/AJ - Even AJ is not thrilled with runout here.

Hard to argue with that plan. Live read here is important - I admittedly tend to be too aggressive in these spots. Default plan should be to give up.
