Well Im not sure if its one of those you had to be there moments, but for me i was there and it was hilarious.
Im not in the hand or involved at all in the hand but im at the table to the left of my friend who ended up just limping in the small blind in a multiway limp pot.
Villain in this hand is an older asian lady who i had seen playing 20/40 limit earlier in the day with racks and racks of chips prolly around 4.5k in front of her.
Its a 2/3 game and hes sitting on 400.
shes sitting on around 300 maybe a tiny bit less.
She had just come to the table so there is no history with her and this is her fisrt time being involved in a hand.
My friend is dealt AA and decided to limp the hand because late at night theres a promotion where if ur aces get cracked you get $100 and since it was like a 5 way limp pot he figured what the hell. the game was playing smaller than normal anyways so he could get them cracked for cheap and would be content if he just won a smaller pot with aces. His prerogative.
Flop comes Q 7 5 rainbow.
He checks and it checks all the way around to the asian lady on the button who bets $12
my friend calls and it folds around
Turn 9 still rainbow.
the pot is at $35
My friend checks
I usually dont react when live players do weird things, but as the the lady is her cutting out her bet me and my friend are both like wtf.
she bets $100
i bust out laughing i just couldnt help it and my friend whos face is usually stone mid hand is mumbling curses and is making faces when there is still a street left to go.
Hero??
Im laughing this whole time cuz i have no idea what either have. i mean we went from a limped pot to this bloated pot so quickly. What do you do with aces facing an almost 3x pot sized bet.
remember you get a 100 dollar rebate even if you lose but now the threat of a river bet looms over the situation and it will be for the remaining 300 effective.
