Normally the 2/5 at the Red Rock (summerlin las vegas) is pretty juicy, and i was expecting a tougher deeper game than when i got there this evening. instead it was about 1/3 spewy regs and 1/2 tourists. i felt i had a good edge on most of the players.

Anyways, i buy in short (400$) playing very nitty, in fact i only played 2 hands the night, which was pretty amazing considering.

This story really is not about me but a funny hand i see the 2nd hand after sitting.

5 way pot with some deepstacks involved and a very funny outcome.

4 people call at various positions, button just calling and BB raising to 25$. I thought it was a pretty silly raise considering most of these players are going to call, and he wasnt that deep (~700) starting of the hand.

Anyways 5 people to the flop, '
FLop: 8d3h6h

BB opens for 80$, I have never played with the BB before, obviously a tourist, nice guy but showed many signs of inexperience in casino poker setting.

UTG+3 calls and so does the button.

Never played with UTG+3 but he seemed aggressive, Button i had played with before but not enough to get a read off of him, although he was sitting with a healthy 2.2K stack before the hand.

Turn comes a 9s

BB lets out again with a 150$ raise, once again UTG +3 calls and Btn calls

River: 2s

Board: 8d3h6h 9s 2s

BB checks,

UTG+3 goes all in for about 750$,

While this happens the Button flips up his hand exposing A9hh, thinking that the hand was checked down.

The button then proceeds to say "oh, he's all in....... i call" litterly took him about 2 1/2 seconds to make that call, with the A9 exposed.

Now the BB litterly sits there and questions. now remember this is a very standard tourists, uncomfortable in big spots and goes all the way with over pair.

its funny because most people at the table realizes the A9 is no good, which is so funny because it just commited about 750$ to this pot, and the BB already has 1 of his 2 opponents hands exposed and is still considering calling meaning he obviously beats the A9 (DUH!!!!)

Anyways the BB eventually commits his stack (~550 ish) and turns over QQ, UTG+3 exposes JJ and of course we know what the idiot Button has,

UTG+3 then starts bitching at the button for exposing his hand going on to say how BB never calls without his hand exposed (which was probably true).

pretty commical and i had never seen that before and i have been around a live table or two.

Button ends up taking a big hit to his stack and about 10 hands later he's all in and out.

Anyways i ended up busting in this game, unfortunate hand where i flop a set of 3's on a very dry board (2d3cQh), pretty good preflop action, with 4 all ins on the flop!!! initial aggressor flops set of Qs OBV and all she wrote. I could have taken down a 2.1k pot with that, instead i run with my tail between my legs.
