FOXWOODS 1/2 - FLOP SCENARIO FOXWOODS 1/2 - FLOP SCENARIO

Hero ($175) presents as 50+ Anglo-Saxon TAG. Started with $200, been playing approximately 3 hours. Been aggressive with strong hands. Has shown only strong opening hands when pushed to showdown. Been card dead most of the session. Still playing initial buy-in.

Villain ($225 +/-) presents as 50+ Asian LAG who has trouble getting out of hands. On his third $200 buy-in. Has shown-down with marginal hands such as second pair or worse on multiple occasions.

Hero is in the 9 seat and first to act. Villain is in the 5 seat.

Hero opens for $13 with AQ
Villain calls.
All others fold.

Flop: Q55

Hero leads out for $25.

Villain raises to $80.

Pot approximately $130 after rake. Hero has $38 invested and $137 behind.

Hero tanks. Considers that Villain could make this move with any Q, flush draw or medium to small pocket pairs as well as possibly holding a 5.

Hero's action?

All in. He could definitely have a 5 in his range but this flop is about as good as you can ask for. I think against a tilting LAG opponent a shove is the correct play

is this guy generally more stationy or spewy post flop?

either way i think a shove is correct here.

This is a read-based decision, but given your judgment of villain I would call and check/call the turn (or plan to shove most rivers if the turn gets checked thru). Your decision is a bit trickier than if you were in position, but c/c keeps bluffs in villain's range and let's him "protect" inferior hands that he might fold if you ship.

I'd be folding to a lot of other villains here, but not this one.

if we were deeper i'd definitely would consider calling and c/c safe turns.

but since there is so little left behind after we call, we'd have 80 and the pot would be around 185, its better to just shove if your continuing with the hand.

Just finish off any action right now - shove.

Villain's range is a lot of bluffs, flush draws, mid and small PP, a few worse Qs, and almost zero 5s... The only reason to flat would be to keep a complete bluff in the pot - as this loose villain is probably going to call with all PP, flush draws, and Qs - go ahead and get the value out the big part of his range - Shove.

(By the time you call $65 more, you are left with $70 against a $195 pot... you are committed, and reversely, Villain would be looking at calling $70 into an already $265 pot, he is also pretty much committed. He even almost has the odds to call a shove with a FD on a blank turn - and given type of villain, odds or not - he is calling with FD on turn)

You over bet that flop? Why? If villain is that bad, then go for it... But I mean seems like he is going to fold out most of his range that you have crushed... well actually probably not but... The point I'm trying to make is that I want everything the he called with pre to call again, so I bet smaller. If he will fold 44 to an over bet but call 1/2 or 2/3 pot then obv the smaller bet is better.
