Fold Turn when Ace hits? Fold Turn when Ace hits?

I have KQo/s in LP, there is UTG, EP and MP limp, its on me I decide to limp along this time as with past experience I dont have a lot of fold equity, sometimes I do raise with these hands but only resulting in a bloated multiway pot with a hand that is somewhat dominated by UTG-EP players range of hands that would limp in such as AX suited and AQ, AK and pocket pairs 22-77.
BTN folds, SB completes and BB checks.

6 players to flop, myself included. Flop is QsTx3s, everyone checks to me and I bet $15 into a $12 pot, I get the blinds to fold, UTG and EP call and MP folds.

Turn is Ax and UTG bets $25 into a $57 pot, EP folds, its on me.

UTG could have limped with KJ, AsXs, QT, A3, QJ, Q9, QX, AJ, JX, JJ etc all hands which I have seen him bet with, (even 99, no idea why) some flush draws like 98ss or 65ss, I suppose J9 got there. He likes to limp call a lot preflop plays 50%+ all of all hands, cold calls 3bets with random suited hands etc.. he could be betting to slow me down with a pair and flush combo something like KTss or worse Tens and Queens etc..

Agree, $25 smells like a block bet. Unless you dont believe this player is aware of this tool?

That $25 bet smells donktastic to me. Without knowing the villain, it feels like a "see where I'm at" kind of bet. I could easily see a worse queen, a moderate/strong 10, or even a non-nut FD taking this line.

Worst case scenario, villain called with Axs, spiked an Ace, and is now trying to induce. Best case scenario is that he wants to see where he's at. Since you have position, raising and then re-evaluating the river if called seems like the best approach.

when a player c/c the flop and leads turn it usually means a strong hand that doesn't want to risk a free card or a block bet to set the price. Knowing opp tendencies is key. His sizing looks more like a block bet to me.

So, I'd consider a raise here against a weaktight players. Your line looks strong and u have pair and straight draws as backup. U have to decide first if u fold to a shove or not as this impacts the raise size.

I'd be more likely to call versus loose and aggresive players and sometimes turn my hand into a bluff otr.

Also, I would prefer a 2/3pot bet otf rather than overbet. It leaves more room for play on later streets by keeping the stack to pot ratio larger.

it also keeps your opp guessing on your hand. I would generally bet when checked to this amount ip with any pair+, oesd, fd, and gutshot with overcard.

Whats he block betting with? KJ got there, AxXss got there, AT, AQ, A3, QT would all be hands he would bet with, I dont think he would bet with just a pair of Queens or a flush draw.

He could easily be blocker betting JTs/QJ. Why are we assigning such a loose player who limped in to only Ax/nut type hands? I also would be raising this preflop a great majority of the time but can understand your thinking behind limping in. Though with live FR play I find myself wanting to exploit the few LP/CO/BTN spots I get. Yes we often have limited FE but as someone who played most of my hands online in 6max, I think our positional advantage and 1/2 players tendency to overplay hands make this a raise. Plus the dead money we often pick up.

I'm raising to whatever my standard open has been at the table pre (based on description probably $15). As played, I'm calling here as his bet sizing is terrible as usual with 1/2 players and we can evaluate the river IP.

I called the $25 thinking it was a blocking bet, the river was 2h, a total blank and he lead out for $45, call again?

Now that bet reeks of a weak A but you're getting a great price again. I say call again. Could be that he's a bad aggro or this is what he considers river missed draw bluff but I also think he'd be small like this with hands that you beat sometimes. River blocking bet, trying to set his own price for showdown.

I fold. In live games at low limits especially, you see a lot of ABC play from what very limited experience I've had and what I've read here at 2p2. I think I'm facing a pair that has me beat here, and I've got 8 outs at most (and a possibility that a K makes his straight as well, so possibly fewer outs).

Don't over think the play at these tables. He called fishing for his A and it hit. Give him his pot. Especially if I'm at a 1/2 NL table, I think there will be better spots to pick later.

45 could easily be a bad "value" bet with a weak ace. Could also be a weak third barrel. Have we seen much river aggression?

Not much aggression at river from what I have seen from this player. I mean he will usually have a good hand himself, either the same hand strength as mine or better but never a random bluff with a draw or whatever. So I guess it just depends how often he bets with Qx hands here on the river and he wont always bet those hands (but may c/c) and I can only see QJ, KQ, or maybe Q9 but not a whole lot.

Fold. The key to beating 1-2 is to value bet, value bet, and value bet until the villain shows aggression or takes the iniatitive. When he leads the turn, you are beat. If he had a worse Q, the ace is a scare card for him. His goal is to get to showdown cheaply now. Although the bets are small compared to the pot, live players always bet small because they dk the pot size. They think that they should basically just double the size of their last bet. 12-25-45. Most live villains suck with bet sizing, too small almost always.

Regardless of what I said about your general play in the other thread, I would fold here. Passive players rarely have multi-barrel bluffs in them and rarely value-bet the river without at least TPNK. This sounds like a somewhat scared weak ace, but even if you raise because you sense weakness, he's unlikely to be able to lay it down.

I raise 8-10 pre ... hands you're worried about would most likely 3 bet AQ,AK, , AA,KK, QQ

when you are oop , players will make it tough on you, when you are in position, you must return the favor, otherwise you are giving them your money...

6 players saw this flop

my 1/2 rule of thumb - limped mutiway pots are for 2P hands or better

play by it and you will prosper
