We are playing cash NL $0.10/0.20
Hero is effective stack at $33 and change

UTG limps
Folds to Hero in Button who has AA
Hero raises to $1
SB and BB call, UTG folds

Flop 6c4c2h

SB bets $1.20
BB calls
Hero raises to $6
SB folds
BB calls

Turn is 3s

BB bets $9
Hero calls

River is 2s

BB jams
Hero calls

BB shows Qc5c and scoops pot

My feeling when the hand played out was that I could not fold there when clubs missed. Probably should’ve considered all the potential fives he might have in the big blind. Pot odds are pretty decent given that I would counterfeit another two pair hand. Looking back, on a wet flop like that that is likely to hit the blinds range, perhaps it would’ve been better to call the flop. Thoughts?

First of all, Villain is not a TAG. At best, he is a LAG. Your preflop to 5x seems small to me. In a 1/3, that would be raising the blinds to $15. Perhaps 7-8x would be better.

The flop donk bet of about 1/3 pot, as has been said many times, is usually top pair, or a draw. Frankly, this was a bad bet on Villains part. Raising a PSB, as you did was good.

Villain donking the turn should have screamed bloody murder to you, but yea, I'm calling most of the time. Good, not raising.

When Villain shoves the river, unless I sense weakness, yea, I'm folding.

In the future, don't show results, it affects answers.

I'll add something here. For a larger bet to have an effect, it has to be viewed as worth something. For recreational players, losing $1 is nothing, unless they take poker seriously. People routinely spend more than that on a soda. So, in a $0.10/$0.20 game, with people who don't take the game seriously, I suspect everything should be, at least, doubled.

Clubs arent your problem. Someone just overcalled a mondo flop raise after a donkbet, and then basically jammed the turn when the straight got there. They arent doing this with a club draw. When he jams he's trying to tax *you* for a potential club draw.

I'd say the passive action of the BB screams flush draw; he's just calling along, wherever the action comes from. My first thought when he woke up on the turn was that he backed into a straight with his FD, maybe with 54s. His PF call was pretty light in hindsight, but this is dime NL poker.

Sure, the club draw missed, but it's hard to see how you're good on the river. Not sure what jam means here relative to the pot, but you're not good with AA often enough to call.

I don’t see any description of the BB. If he’s just a fish I probably just chalk it up to what happens sometimes when you play against fish. The $1 preflop raise was too small. The flopraise was probably too small as well.

Re: responses- he didn’t really give us enough info on the game to know what’s good or not. I’ve played in PLENTY of 1/2 games where this is a slam dunk call it off against 88+, 2p, and occasionally A6.
