Background
1/2 live cash game. 9 handed. Action has been quite tight all round.

Hero appears v tight (been a bit card dead, but this is usually how I am). Only showed down once (nut flush). Stack = 275.
Villain, one of the looser players at the table seen him make a particularly loose call with TPTK. Has been opening regularly, not shown much aggression post flop. Stack = 250.

Pre Flop
UTG straddles for 4. Hero calls in UTG +1 with 44. Villain makes it 16 in CO. BTN (stack 400) flats. Blinds & straddle fold. Hero calls.

Flop (55)
6h5x4h.
Hero leads for 36. Villain flats. BTN folds.

Turn (127)
Jh
Hero checks. Villain bets 65. Hero?

Questions
1. Thoughts on pre flop? Seems like two good stacks to set mine against.
2. On flop, is leading best play? I didn’t want it checked around with draws etc. I also wanted to get value from over pairs.
3. On turn can I put villain on flush and fold? If I flat what should plan be on river? Assume no one suggests raising here?
I think his range is Th9h+, AhXh, 77+ (with a heart), 55, 66

In EP at a tight table, I'm happy to fold 44 pf. In general, you aren't going to get paid off enough to make the call either time.

As played, one thing you want to keep in mind on this flop is that while the FD has 9+9 outs to hit a flush, you have 7+10 outs to hit a FH. Therefore, I'm not particularly worried about trying to protect my hand. You're almost certain to get a bet from the pfr, no need to let him know he might have a problem.

Usually just tossing small pps in ep with a straddle on since your playing less than 100bb eff now.

IMO if you are going to donk the Flop here you need to continue to do so on the Turn with about the same size bet. If raised then folding out here is a little easier. It also allows you to bet out on a 'good' River. Either a paired board or another heart perhaps?

What does V put you on here? 77-1010/set? That allows him to bet out here. Your description indicates he has something decent here or he would check back. Would he ever do this with AhXx?

1) PF is fine for set mining as some say you are looking for 10-15x stacks ($16 x 10 < $250)

2) With this type of Flop you might be better served laying low or c/r to get stacks going quicker. Leading out doesnt completely turn your hand face up, but it tells your opponents you dont want this hand to go much further ... putting you on 77/set/TPTK/nut flush draw? Bottom set can be a bit trickier, especially on this kind of board. Cant say I would never donk out on this either!!

3)Correct - NO RAISING .. You certainly cant give V full credit for a flush here and the price isnt too steep to call and evaluate the River card. V very well couldve just sensed some weakness and bet to try and take it down. You may get yourself a showdown, but I wouldnt lead too many Rivers since he may have flush or even JJ for a c/r. c/f is probably the way to go on River unless you boat up or he makes it cheap enough ... remember, he should realize you have something since you donked out. 1) In EP I'm folding this to a straddled pot unless I am 95% certain its getting limped around and staddler is someone who often (lol) checks his straddle.

2) Yes leading is best. If you pot'd it you could have jammed turn, though the would have been a bad card for you. (not in the sense of villain having a flush, but in the sense of it being a scare card to villain)

3) I try to get out of the habit of being MUBS to preflop raisers. In other words, if there were a few callers and now one of THEM started showing agression, I would be very cautious. To the preflop opener however, putting him exactly on a flush bc the third came out is tighting his range way to much. He is very likely to have an overpair here.

I call turn. If river pairs, I jam. If river is a heart, I c/f. If river is a non heart, I probably c/c
