HAND: I am in the $4 UTG straddle. MP opens to $12, CO calls, Button calls, Big Blind calls, we call with 85hh to close the action.
FLOP: 9d7c6h (pot: $60, 5-ways).
BB (stack of $400) immediately donk leads for $60.
Is my hand a call or a raise?
RESULT: I went with a raise to $160, both because I’m unblocking all his sets/2-pair continues AND because I’d just shown him a big bluff. But the former is the more important one—I would
just call with, for instance, 99 on 952. I play straights much much faster than any other nut hands.
Unfortunately, everyone folds.
