For just one time during a session, can we all try the fake tell preflop to see how often it worked across the forum? And for sh'its and giggles. Of course if you're playing with players who know you all the time it probably won't work. Some conditions need to be met before executing:

1. We start the hand 100+bb deep effective. Need to be deep enough to be able to threaten other stacks.
2. We are in the SB or BB. Action needs to be close to being done to minimize chances we run into other big hands behind us.
3. Action has to go raise, 3! and fold to us. No more and no less players than that. More than that and it's harder to get it through.
4. We have to have Ax. Need the A blocker.

Once all these conditions are met, we do the weakness tell (visibly look at our hand, put our head down, put our hands on our head, look at our watch, rub our eyes in agony, count out our chips, unstack them, restack them, then 4!. Needs to be at least 3x the 3 bettor. Any smaller and they might peel. We can post our results here.

I mix in light 4-betting against the more thinking players in my room all the time and have had great results with it so sure I'll try this.

This is not an obvious weakness tell in my book, unless they are foreigners. Black guys and rednecks have qq+.

I don't always cold 4bet light, but when I do I want to also give off (reverse fake) weak tells.

Unless you are continually in agony about your pre-flop decisions, it is going to be obvious you're trying to fake a tell. It starts happening every time I see you, I'll know you're doing a reverse tell and will look you up.

You've got bigger leaks in your game that will make you more money by working on than spending time on this play.

Updated for 2023 is to look for those that have a ton of betting and tendencies tells, but is focused on staring into your soul.

Didnt made it exactly because there was an extremely loose player calling everything to gamble, but it kind of worked with a variation. Hero is in UTG and limps with AsQc on blinds 5-10, nit raises to 40 UTG, crazy guy going all in/calling every hand 3bets to 200. I make the fake tell, tank for about 1 minute saying F* my life, shaking my head, then I go all in for 1000, nit folds and villain calls with Js9s and we take down the pot. The funny thing is that the nit folded AK face up because he though I had aces or kings

Today im going to a more normal game and going to try it out with a decent lineup

Do you think the display of the fake tell had any bearing on the outcome of this particular hand?
