Main Villain- mid to late 20's. Is on the PLO waiting list and decides to sit down with his buddy to kill time. Hasn't been at the table for that long maybe 20 minutes. Talking about PLO with his buddy entire time. Other than that no other information. sunglasses and headphones

Villain is 300$ effective and hero covers by a small amount

OTH

Hero(UTG+2) - opens to 12 KK

v1(mp)- calls 12

v2(BTN) calls 12 **main villain**

blinds fold

Pot= 39$

Flop Q32

Hero- checks (I hate my check in hindsight. Against good winning players at higher stakes I don't mind having this hand in my checking range on a board like this but imo at these stakes no one is exploiting so I tend to keep it simple and play value poker. bet bet bet until they show aggression.)

v1- checks

v2- bets out 25

Hero- calls 25

v1- calls 25

Pot- 114$

Turn- 9

Hero- checks

v1- checks

v2- bets out 65

Hero- calls 65

v1- folds

Pot- 234$

River- 6

Hero- checks

v2- Jams all in for approximately 200ish

hero- ???????? I don't want to give my thought process just yet I want to get some feedback first

Is the PLO game bigger? How is he talking about hands? Like a good online player? 20 minutes of poker talk and you need to have a better read than he has sunglasses. HOW is he talking about PLO, what is he talking about? What is his skill level? Do you get the vibe he wants to show a bluff to his buddy or do you get a vibe that he doesn't want to make a big mistake in front of his buddy? Anything like that at all?

I like to try to talk to my opponent here, ask a question. Look under the table and say you wanted to see what color his socks are. Ask if you can try his sun glasses. To be fair since you don't know his baseline comfort level while running a bluff the information you gather may be useless...

I call because he is waiting for a higher game playing in front of his friend. He is showing off a non 0 % of the time for sure and your hand is massively under repped. It looks like you have AsKx, and your range is 100% capped at one pair. The pair you have is really high. Call.

Edit: I almost think he can even have AsQx for value. I mean why not? If he holds the As then he thinks you have TT, JJ, weaker Qx, no way he thinks his hand is beat.

Yea tough spot because there's a chance he over-values AQ and he could potential play all AQ this way. Not to mention this is one of the few spots where you'll people actually bluff at 1/2 because they have the A blocker and feel obligated to bluff, although probably not frequently enough where this spot becomes an easy call haha.

Gotta call river I feel.

Flop you explained perfectly why betting can be good here at 1/2 and it's good you're aware you should be mostly checking this flop spot (probably even 100% checking) vs good players.

Everything else looks fine.

both of your thought processes are exactly what I was thinking as well that you could be value owning himself with AQ given my line and he could do this with the nut blocker being a plo player

He can also be bet bet betting for value. Its read dependent but I don't think he is jamming with a naked Q. He has to at least have AQ beat. You did call 2 streets in a 3 way pot (V1 only folded after you called) so you showed strength by calling that.

Also its 1/2. If I saw some dude call me 2 streets AND I have the As which means he not calling to the nut flush, I'm definitely not thinking he is folding the river.
