Until recently I used to always show when someone says you're good,or if I'm all in and make the nuts but too few people reciprocate and I got sick of it so I show less often when I don't have to.
Pretty much this. I generally lean towards showing unless I called super thin and may lose even when villain says "your good". Make a mental note of those that never show and just reciprocate. In general keeping things friendly is good for the game, without letting nits and selfish players take advantage.
It's also obviously fine if you just always want to make people show in spots like these as long as you're auto tabling your hand when called 100% of the time as well.
Sounds like in the example above you should have just showed your hand -- not like you're ever not good here when he says that and you're friends and have a history of showing in these spots?
