Do you basically fold when bet into on the flop ((and you have no piece)) Do you basically fold when bet into on the flop ((and you have no piece))

LIVE CASH game.
$1/$2 NL
V1 is TAG. Small stack.
V2 is TAG. Big stack.
Hero is medium stack.

Hero gets KJs in OTB
V1 PF raise to $5
Hero calls. Would you limp, call, or raise here?

Flop = 2 4 Q
V1 bets $7. 4 callers.
Hero folds thinking someone's got Q. Good fold?

You can't limp when someone has raised in front of you. $5 is a really small open in 1/2, if I'm going to play KJ in this spot I prefer a raise.

OTF I mean, yeah, no point continuing with K high 5 handed. But you're sort of thinking in terms of fit or fold. A flop decision is not black and white like "continue with a piece, fold air". You have to consider the tendencies of other players, outs, odds, what you had for lunch etc.

If you had raised the $5 to $20 pre, you would likely be heads up or 3 handed, and the action would have played out more favourably for you.

OP, to answer your initial questions, it is fine to flat with that hand pre. A raise is ok too. And you should be pitching your cards at 1-2 when you whiff a flop against that many opponents.

But just some friendly advice, you need to provide more information in your threads. I notice the same issues in the other thread you posted. Basic generalities like "lag" or "medium stack" aren't enough information to obtain accurate responses.

Give specifics like effective stack sizes, as much details/reads on the other players as possible, and any specific elements of the particular game you're at which can affect the way a hand is played.

If you haven't browsed the stickies, I highly suggest you do so. Good luck.

OP, question is way too wide with very little context.

Thanks. I'll read the stickies.
I'll try to provide more info.

So, these 3 hands are usually a fold?

AJ in SB
Hero calls $5
F = K79
V1 bets $30
Hero folds.

KJs in LP
Hero raises PF $10. 1 caller.
F = 568
V1 donk bets $15
Hero folds.

KJs in OTB
Hero calls $5
F = 24Q
V1 bets $7
Hero folds.

OP, I'm going to lock this. The primary reason is that the thread is drifting badly. That is often the case when the answer is, "it depends." Be more specific about your villain and your plans for the hand if you want better answers.
