nl400 sucks. no one has a real clue about poker. often times, i find myself questioning how they even got to 400 in the first place.

Please tell me you are busto so I can stake you, you offer sig higher returns than the S&P.

Variance is higher at 400 mostly because there is more pre-flop fun and games.

Game selection is more important.

200Nl regs are all nits who know how to play premium hands and horrible hands preflop. Post flop, they know how to play sets and they like to showdown a lot.

400nl regs are spewmasters (myself included) who have some clue how to play preflop but not enough of a clue to actually not suck horribly at it.

200 is a nitfest i would rather watch paint dry than steal three dollars at a time. you only get someones stack if its nuts vs 2nd nuts. at 400 you actually get to play pots.

So in essence what I am understanding from this thread is that I need to move down to where they respect my raises?

I always LOL at these type of threads...... just think of it like this....

when you are moving up..... GAME SELECT! Only play in great games where no deep stacks are IP on you so you wont be making tough decisions for big amounts of money OOP.

since you will be playing against weaker players by game selecting like a nit..... the 2-4 games you playin will actually be softer than some of the tougher 1-2 games your use to.

say ur a 6 tabler..... play 4, 1-2 games and game select the 2 best 2-4 games you can find.... and always be searching for softer games.

after you win some money off the horrible fish you have been chasing..... you will feel comfortable adding in more tables+not game selecting soo tightly and you will have a better feel of how the games play (which is barely any different if at all) and ready to play all opponents.

I do much better at 400nl also. At 200nl the laws of logic do not apply, and/or nits everywhere.
