$1/$2 NL

Effective stacks are ~$200

UTG is loose and has been betting hands light
MP seems solid, has been playing tight
Button has been showing a lot of hands, loves to slowplay until the river, is also capable of bluffing with air

Hero has A4 in CO

2 limpers, Hero calls $2, Button calls $2, SB folds, BB calls

Flop ($11): 35T
Checked around

Turn: ($11): 2
Check, UTG bets $20, fold, MP calls $20, Hero raises to $45, button calls $45, UTG folds, MP calls $25 more

River ($166): K
MP checks, Hero checks, Button bets $95, MP tanks for at least a minute, looks visibly frustrated, and finally calls $95

Hero?

Ide probably fold here. I also wouldn't raise the turn, rest looks fine.

I would fold river. Agree with turn analysis.

One of them has at least a weak flush.

Pre is fine. Bet this flop after it gets checked to you. Nobody looks interested, there should be some good barreling opportunities and we have OK equity against stuff that calls.

I think turn is massively villain dependent, especially given the bet sizing being so unusual so I'd need better reads.

I don't get your raise on turn unless you have a decent history with the players in the hand.

I'm folding river every day, BTN has a flush. Not too sure about MP, anything from 2 pair to small flush.

Raise preflop. Bet the flop. Fold the river.

I'm not a big fan of the limp pre creating these multi-way pots where you have position but are put in difficult spots.

As played though, fold river here. Also I think turn play was also a minor misstep just imho. Don't know villains' history so I'd either be checking back or raising more.

And once you've failed to either raise pre or bet the flop, i'm folding the turn when the third club hits and there are two people interested.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I知 not sold that raising pf is preferable. Do we really want to build pots pf with small suited aces against our typical lineup of 1/2 droolers? Seems like we can keep the action small pf and still build nice pots when we hit. I like the small ball and then value-bet-them-to-death approach against these kinds of lineups. Maybe someone can show me why that痴 wrong? Seems like pf raising light against a bigish field and then cbetting multiway flops like this with only a gutter and a dry ace is not a winning formula at these stakes. You get looked up with some weak one pair hands.

Folding the turn feels a little weak to me, but def an option given the overbet and then call.

All of the other advice makes sense. The turn raise was an attempt to build the pot a bit if I知 ahead and to coax out any flushes if I知 behind. Basically I知 looking to take control of the action and most likely check the river. If I知 raised on the turn it becomes an easy fold where I get away from my hand more cheaply than having to call a river bet. It was a bad turn play, I think, that got even worse when the button just calls. I did fold the river.

flatting pre is actually optimal here imo.

it allows you to keep the pot small with is what is usually a drawing hand. when we raise pre are we raising for 100% value? we are often dominated when called, plenty of hands have a ton of equity. play the pot in position and keep the pot small. inflate the pot when you want to inflate it.

as far as the hand i dont mind it as played except for the turn. raising is fine but i think you need to raise, not min raise. you set a cheap price for anyone who has a club who already put in $20 to continue profitably. dont worry about getting reraised by a flush when you are making your raise. only worry about getting raised by a flush once you get reraised.

folding river is fine i suppose
