9 handed in a $1/$1 NL game.

Hero has AKo at cutoff ($95). After a few limpers, hero raises to $10 and gets called by a new player (so far playing very poorly, already a few buy-ins deep) in early position ($70) and a solid regular in hijack ($200).

Flop comes KQT two clubs. Check, check, hero bets $20. Call, Call.

Turn comes K, and the bad player ships it ($40). Regular flat calls. I'm left with $65 and a decision.

Can I continue here? Can I fold with this much money in the pot?

Will post results in a bit. (Thanks for input on my first post!)

there ranges both have a lot of pair w/ straight draw hands. KJ, QJ, J10 type hands are probably never are folding here. Because they're probably never folding I bet pot on the flop. As far as your turn decision, you have to go all in. You're likely to have the best hand and with only $25 left after the call it's time to ship it in.

Obviously there are some straights and full houses in their range but far less than combo draws.

Obvious call, you even have blockers to pair hands with a J.
Why do you hesitate ? Afraid of AJ and J9 ? Maybe KQ ? Only 1 king left in the deck...

You didnt talk about which suits are the ak in your hand,as well as the suits on the flop. It helps us to figure out possible combos and hands.

But as played. Shove, because:
1) solid reg should be raising the flop (not always but more often than not) with a set and straight multiway.

2) bad player's range is wide enough and stack short enough to make it an ok call.

3) you are way too short to fold best trips there. If you lose, it's a cooler, reload.

I appreciate the insight. After reading your posts it seems much more clear than it did at the table.

Ended up (reluctantly) shoving. 7 of clubs on the river. Regular showed KJ, bad player mucks, and I pick up both pots.

Shoving seems fine, sometimes you're behind but players at these stakes can obv be shoving way worse than AK.
