just took half a year break due to not having enough bankroll to play 1/2, finally saved up a decent amount and got to play again...

Just couple hands if I'm doing the right thing...

Hero image: young kid , losing image , stack dwindling down

Hand 1

Hero ( $200 ) raise in CO to 15 with AKo ( normal size raise ) , button calls, SB calls

flop comes 3610 , check, hero bet 25 hoping to get folds here if they don't hit anything, but all i have is Ace high... i guess i shouldn't cbet here and just check? Wouldn't that be a weak play ?

turn: 5 , sb check, hero check, button bets 40 , all fold

Hand 2

Hero ($150 ) in BB with AQ raises to 15 over 2 late limpers. 2 limpers call 15

6 8 10

Hero bets 30, 1 fold, pro winning reg raises to 120.. hero folds.. why don't my cbets ever get fold?

Hand 3

Hero ( $150 ) limps in MP with 67

10 7 4

hero checks, BB bets 10, hero calls ( i call thinking this 40 yr old has a $600 stack but he likes to bet draws so I was thinking he had something like 8-9 or a spade draw

turn: A , if i had best hand on flop, i don't think he has any aces or else he would have pre-raise, ive seen him raise A8o UTG before.

i check, bets 20 . strong bet but i called

river: 4 , i check, thinking he missed everything , and he bets 50 ... then i thought ( if they bet big on river , they usually have it ) but i was putting him on a draw this whole time, so i call??

1&2 are fine. Hand 3 fold pre. We aren't deep enough to be playing this potentially OOP and our range should be tighter if we are looking to maximize ev when it doesn't appear you are reloading. As played, I am folding flop being OOP and our stack size. Fold turn also as with no reads posted, 90% of 1/2 players don't double barrel ANY board without a made hand especially when turn is an A.

oop, no room to double barrel, board hits their calling ranges, bad image, if flop checks through you can turn top pair and get two streets of value

The board texture in both is kind of bad to C bet. You'd optimally like one big card, two little cards, rainbow.
With one big card, two little, you're repping top pair or an overpair. It's better if its rainbow bc all FDs are calling a flop bet.
When players call your preflop raise, they often have some mix of suited connectors or mid PP. In both the spots where you C bet, it doesn't seem too credible that you opened with AT, KT, QT or JT and now have TPTK. Fish put you on AK as a default hand. They never want to believe you have a big pair so they will float with over cards, any pair, any draw.
Also, both these boards are coordinated. First one has flush draw, which is always continuing (and from the action, got there). Second one has possible straight and hits a lot of hands for two pair or a pair and a gut shot, the kinds of hands that will call a flop bet in position.
The pro raised. Maybe he puts you on air and is raising one pair, maybe he puts you on a big pair and flopped a big hand, maybe he puts you on scared money and thinks you'll fold under pressure.

First two hands are good, these are decent flops to c-bet as a bluff. Not grade-A, mind you, but decent enough to fire away. Both are folds as played, we don't pick up equity and we didn't thin the field in hand one. Hand two, we may have gotten bluffed off the best hand as its possible the pro recognized this board as a decent c-bet board and raised as a re-bluff. However, generally speaking at $1/2 this raise is for value.

Hand three I don't hate a limp behind pre but I think we are a bit too far away from the button to play a SC. As played, fold turn or river. The rule of $1/2 is to win via value, not picking off triple-barrel bluffs.

Reason 1, you are multi way and it is far less likely you will get both to fold.

Reason 2, the board hits the pre flop callers range.

Reason 3, the board texture has lots of draws meaning it's far more likely others have a piece.

There is a really great archived thread on c betting and good board textures to c bet and double barrell. If I can find it I'll add the link.

Also side note of you have a losing image it is better to not c bet as a bluff.

Because of the board texture, number of Villains, etc.

All the info is right here:

Eh, I would c-bet hand 1 most of the time. You should be betting $30-35 instead of $25, though (there's $45 in the pot). Once you get two callers and the flush comes in on the turn, it becomes an easy check-fold.

Hand 2, with your image and that texture against that opponent is definitely a check-behind. Wet board that hits your opponents' range, against an opponent who is good at smelling weakness.

Hand 3, meh. His line could be a busted draw. But he could also have been betting the nut flush draw on the flop, turned top pair, and then value-bet his two pair on the river. 1/2 villains don't tend to 3-barrel bluff very often.

You have a weak bluff-catcher. Unless you have a specific read that an opponent likes to three-barrel in a specific situation, I wouldn't recommend calling the flop with an intention of calling turn and river all in the hopes of catching a bluff from an opponent who "likes to bet draws." Opponents who like to bet draws also usually like to bet made hands. You'll spend a lot of money waiting to catch those bluffs.
