v is 16/12 pretty straightforward havnt seen him get super outta line, and ive been pushing him around a bit.

MP2 ($319.90)
CO ($409.50)
Button ($122.80)
SB ($420.70)
BB ($373.50)
UTG ($425.50)
UTG+1 ($400)
MP1 ($886.60)

Preflop:
UTG raises to $16, 1 fold, MP1 calls $16, 2 folds, Button calls $16, 2 folds

Flop: ($54) 7, 7, 2 (3 players)
UTG bets $40, MP1 calls $40, 1 fold

Turn: ($134) 2 (2 players)
UTG checks, MP1 checks

River: ($134) Q (2 players)
UTG checks, MP1 bets $99, UTG folds

Total pot: $134 | Rake: $3

It really depends on my reads of his river play. Hard to say from your description. Unfortunately, you've shown weakness, so this could easily be a bluff.

I run 17/15. He's been folding a lot to my c bets.It just seems like a pretty bad spot for him to float with total air, especially since its multiway. However, not unreasonable. I think he probably will check back 33-66, but I wasn't sure how thin i should be calling here. I guess its more of a question is how thin should villain be value betting.

I think his range is 88-TT here a huge amnt of the time, with a rare 7. I call TT-AA, maybe 99 sometimes. If I think he'd float me here (pretty unlikely I think) I'd call 88 too.

The thing is, he might bet 88-TT on the turn here, so his line doesn't make a whole lotta sense. But maybe he checks.

That's really interesting. Care to elaborate on the logic of that?

he thinks MP1's range consists mostly of medium-strength hands which beat a significant portion of our range but none of the strongest part

I disagree with his range assignment though

because I think QQ/77/22/87/76 make up a pretty decent chunk of his range for a river bet whereas his thin valuebet range is only going to be something like JJ/TT/KK some percentage of the time

the Q is actually a moderately bad card for us to check-call on (if we have something like KK) because I think it increases the likelyhood of JJ- just taking a free showdown since the Q will hit a few of our UTG raising hands (AQ and KQs)
