"So this guy with - like maximum OMC/Dad-strength vibes - 3 bet me and I just think KK is crushed here like always against his range. LOL damn nits. I run so bad."
I found this thread too late. I just got back from a week in Vegas playing similar stakes.
I thought the V had kind of boring games and got tilted by nitty play because of all the good things I had heard about playing there during the deep stacks/wsop going on. There were 6-8 players that all were there for the same reasons. Maybe it was just bad table draws, IDK. The B was too loud and hectic for me to justify sitting down. I spent most of my time at Caesars, PH late, and the Wynn. With a huge majority of it at the Wynn.
Caesars was pretty good. The first night, I was lucky to sit down at a deep 1/2 game and run good. We had some agro kid from oregon sit down and spew about 1700 in an hour or so, that helped. Played 2/5 the second night and it was a pretty regular 2/5 game.
I was told from a friend that lives in Vegas to hit PH for soft play and he was right. I only did it the last night but there was a real great game because of terrible play.
The Wynn had a lot of people, mostly foreigners, that were weak passive but didn't mind calling huge bets and reloading. The regs (very few) were mostly typical nits. Easy deep game. The 1/3 and 2/5 play a lot deeper than in most normal games. It sounds to me like you would enjoy the 1/3 here.
One additional comment about the V: As much as I didn't like the 1/2 or 2/5 game I chased a fish onto a 1/2 PLO game and found it to be very soft. I don't play PLO that much and never played higher than micro-stakes online but the people were pretty bad and were either folding to any bet on the flop or calling down with middle of the road hands. There was 1 player that knew what was going on out of the 9. If you feel confident and looking for a change of pace it might be profitable to sit for a little.
Enjoy Vegas, good luck.
