2/5
Never played with V before. Second hand at table so no history either way. Effective ~ 300
V - UTG bets 15
H - SB - AJo - completes
Flop - AJXr (~45 with dead money) heads up.
H - check - want him to be comfortable with his AQ-AK-KK-QQ
V - bet 40
H - flats - see above
T - 10 (no flush draw)
H - leads out 65
V - Asks if I have KQ and flats.
R - Rag
H - ?
What do you think? Is he playing trips this way? Feel free to take apart any street - Appreciated in advance.

Calling a raise with AJo OOP with the bb still to act is disastrous imo. Fold pre (if you had history with the villain this could be either fold or 3bet pre, and still usually a fold).

I would just check raise the flop to $100. Most villains are stations and have an ego thing where can't fold a strong ace to a check raise. We are so shallow I just want to gii with top two, and he probably has to stack off with TPGK.

After we check raise we gii on the turn. If he called and hit the gutter he wins unless we suck out. If he has one of the 5 flopped set combos he also wins. We beat 16 combos of AK/AQ and 4 of AT.

As played, all in on the river. Seriously, we are 60bb deep with top two lol.

You should at least have age/gender/ethnicity/dress reads on V. That said, everything dunderstron! said.

Like the c/r on the flop.
Meh .. Folding pre to 15 - I don't get too invested and can get away from it. But am folding to a bigger raise pre
Thanks playas ...
