Consider the situation on an aggro table full ring 5/10NL live. It gets 3 bet from the BB and is called by original raiser in cutoff (hero).
Cbet Pot sized bet on flop check turn and shove on the river with board reading something like
99848 rainbow to turn
Effective stacks 40BB.

Having put 20+BB in the pot already is this an easy call with AK?
Some argue that it is never worth calling to split.
