[LOW] Call or fold the bottom end of a straight to a river raise in 1-2?

1-2 game at my local casino, pretty tight regs at the table. Villain in particular hadn't played many hands. I sort of forgot he existed until we played this hand even though I had been there for over an hour.
Hero in BB ($300 eff) has 3d, 5d. HJ ($300 eff.) limps. Villain on BTN ($250 eff.) raises to $10. Hero calls, HJ calls.
Flop is 4s, 10h, 7c
Action checks around
Turn is 10s
Hero checks, HJ leads for $10. BTN and hero call
River is 6c
Hero leads out for $25, expects two folds but hopes that somebody has a 10. HJ folds, but BTN raises to $90
Maybe this should be a trivial decision but I went deep in the tank on this one. What would you do?

Weird spot. First off, I would say you need to be folding this hand pre-flop and then again folding on the turn. Pre-flop, this hand is simply too weak to call a large 5bb iso raise, especially with players still to act behind you. On the turn, you have a gutshot to the low end of the straight on a paired board where there is a flush draw multi-way. This is a really bad draw to have, and you are out of position. It's entirely possible that you are drawing dead here 3 ways, which means there will be reverse implied odds when you do make your hand (which will only have happen 8% of the time, mind you).
As played, Villain's hand doesn't really make sense. Did he check back flop with a set? Would he raise pre-flop with 89s and then check back flop? He could be raising for value with a worse hand sometimes (AT, namely) but that would entail him checking back flop in position with TPTK which doesn't make sense either. I think I would just believe him and fold since this is an extremely difficult spot to be bluffing. I wouldn't fault you for calling though.

You call a raise out of position pf with trash. You call a bet with a gut shot straight on the turn. You hit your 4 outer on the river and now you're thinking about folding?
Call and show your cards proudly. I don't think anyone is going to put you on a straight. If the villain has a full house, they deserve to be paid.
And after this, never call a raise with 53s preflop or a gut shot straight draw again.

pre is bad. if you want to play this hand you should 3 bet it and then cbet any flops that dont have high cards in them. i guess you could also CR bluff any low card flops that problaby missed the PFR. i hope you didnt call to play fit or fold here, though, that would be terrible and how fish lose money over and over.
as played you have to call but i dont like it. and why are you betting the river if you expect people to fold? betting then has no point.

Yeah I know the whole thing was out of line. I had a few experiences folding not-so-great hands out of the BB this session (such as Q7o) and the flop came down Q, Q, 7 and other such miraculous flops. I already had $2 in and just decided to defend on this one.
Anyway, the guy ended up having 8s 9s. When I called, I thought I was probably gonna lose even before he showed, which is probably an indication that I shouldn't have called. But that feeling was totally player dependent. I thought he had enough random 10s in his range that he might be slowplaying or something.

Would assume that if we are beat it's by 98, or maybe 85 (lol).
Fold everywhere before the river, shrug call the river without reads and hope V is playing worse than we are.
