come on, nobody is folding this. it might not be a fistpump but whatever. generally speaking, calling a little wide with bottom set is >>>>>> than making hero folds with this hand

seems like a spot where people level themselves into calling with KJo strength hands: hero bets flop in a spot where he can often autoprofit ->can get to turn wide + V and hero have aggressive history + V is perceived to not have his strong but not nutty hands (AK/AA) + static board texture.

Major History: hero and 30yo villain are good friends on a Vegas trip for golf and poker. So far we have played about 25 hours together this trip and have pulled out all the tricks. I would say V is a little more prone to get out of line than hero is, though. We have traded chips back and forth the last few days. He has bluff shoved, slow played, c/c c/c lead bluff...anything is possible. Villain and I talk strat very frequently and we both beat the game for solid amounts.
I don't understand why you guys would play the way you do against each other. For fun? To get better? It can't be good for your winrates, I reckon.

u suggest softplay?
some other type of implicit collusion?
or just straight up collusion?

Youre either suggesting op plays poorly or that he colludes with his friend, and if you're suggesting he collude with his friend, then they should be playing against each other in a totally crazy fashion whenever they're in a heads up pot anyway (best hand and advertise collusion) so this post literally makes no sense.

Ship turn, as played call river. If he has AA or KK that's a cooler.

I see no reason not to stay out of each other's way if you're both good players and friends as well. Why would you try extra hard to look each other up and outplay one another?

Obviously collusion is not what I'm suggesting, but in my opinion there's nothing wrong with a little softplay between friends. And yes, there is a difference.
