Bottom set 2/5/10 Bottom set 2/5/10

2/5/10 come in for $15.00. Game is deep V1 $1,200, V2 $900, V3 $2,400 and Hero $2,200. V1 UTG makes it $55.00, Hero calls UTG+2 with 22, V2 and V3 call from late position. Flop is Q82 rainbow, V1 bets $175, Hero calls, V2 goes all in, V3 goes all in and V1 folds. Hero???? I flat V1 flop bet because he will stack off with AQ and even AK on boards like this.V2 is someone who will come play in this game once every month or so and likes to gamble. V3 is really not a great player he sees a lot of flops and will spaz with draws.

I'm not thrilled with the call pre unless you are positive nobody is going to re-pop it and you are just planning to set mine. (It's really not that deep with a $15 bring in.)

And bingo. Given descriptions, this is a snap-call.

(Next time please format better so it's easier to follow the action. At least you kept it short.)

Format sucks.

Calling. Expect to lose 50% of time

fold pre. you're in a bad position, you'll get squeezed more likely than if you were OTB, and you'll always flop bottom set. plus price is not that good

ap call

Preflop depends a lot on the rest of the table. If there is a real risk of a raise then it's better folding. If the table is passive then fishing for a good flop with a pair vs loose bad players is OK.

Weird situation on the flop. There are just so few hands that should be in play here. QQ should be out once V1 folds. AQ and other single pairs are being over played. 88 has no reason to push because the board is so dry. There are not any viable draws.

Against one of the two described villains I would get it in. Against 2 I'm debating just how bad they are. You need both to be spazzing out or over playing one pair. I would lean fold just because of the total lack of possible draws. I would not say calling is bad though. I would expect one to have 88 a good portion of the time but there is enough money in the pot it could still be the right move.

So the question is V3 bad enough to just go ott on a dry flop w/ at least mid-set? Based on the description, perhaps hahahaah. It's still a crying call, sucks both Hero and V3 are deep. Not worried about V2 here.
