1/1/2

Stacks

V1 CO 250
Hero MP 650
V2 SB 700

V1, Lag reg who has been on the wrong side of a few coolers, hand happens towards the end of the night & feels like heÂ’s just trying to find a spot to get his last 250 in. Usually plays in bigger games.

Hero, have tight image in game. Perhaps too tight. Told the table that IÂ’m leaving in the next few hands.

V2 very splashy, gets involved in lots of pots but is also very capable. Has just moved over to our HE game after the 4/5/6 PLO has broken. He is defo looking to gamble

1/1/2

MP Hero open 56cc to 10
CO V1 3bet to 30
SB V2 cold calls 30
Hero calls

Flop 5d 6s 9d

V2 check
Hero check
V1 bets 50
V2 raises 200
Hero?

I was pretty sure in game that V1 had an over pair & was planning to check raise flop & get it in with him.
Now V2 has raised do we just go with our hand & shove?

First decision to open is close but probably fold > open, second preflop decision multiway with 65cc is actually not close; it's a clear fold. However, you can make the argument that if the table is soft/players are bad you should always open this, and you should always call, so pre is fine.

On to flop as played I'd be looking to stack off here and it's not really close. If V2 has 99/87s/66/55 good for him. I'd shove facing this action. I would also lead flop 2/3~ instead of checking

Pre-If I was trying to get all in with a couple of splashy players, I would look for hands like big PP and hands that flop top pair. Your not going to be getting odds to call with your draws vs aggressive players. I fold.

Post-I don't think bottem two is as strong as you think. A good percentage of the time your already behind and your very vulnerable to any draws. You could make an argument for finding a better spot, which at these levels come up often. That being said, a shove is fine

Pre seems fine to me. 65s and 76s do well vs 3bets, and we are in position to a deeper player. I would rather call the 3bet with this hand and fold QJs-98s.

On the flop, let's just get it in.

Agree w/ Mlark. I'm fine with pre vs these guys, and this is why we called. If one of them has 78, oops, but you can bink.

Honestly given the Vs description it feels like one of them has you dominated and the other on a big draw. This spot happens semi-regularly in my game with loose/splashy players multi-way at the end of the night (gambling mood). It’s gross because you won’t fault your logic for jamming, but I hope I find a fold here. Calling doesn’t accomplish much since it’s likely all going in very quickly anyway. Save your money and wait until you’re on the other side of this spot.
