Hello everyone! I was playing 1/3$, had 300$ in my stack, the same stack had loose-agressive, but not crazy guy on CO. He opened wide. 2 limpers, he raised to 7, BU called, I had KsQs on SB raised 32$, everyone folded, CO called, BU folded. Flop - ThJc5h. I checked. He betted 55$. I called. Turn 6h. I betted 100$...What do you think about this lane?
Good luck at the tables!

Against a loose aggressive who can be difficult and has position on us, I might just prefer a flat preflop, but I'm passive like that. KQs plays fine multiway in high SPR pots; a flat will likely produce a 5way pot of $35 with $293 left, so a somewhat manageable SPR of ~8.5 where we can just play postflop poker. A 3bet certainly ain't terrible, although it begins possibly putting us in a tough spot postflop going after relatively little in dead money. If 3betting, we should be going far bigger because this sizing has almost no chance of ending the hand now.

So there's about $70 in the pot with $270 left so an SPR of ~4 and we've flopped overs and an OESD. Against an aggro player, I wouldn't hate a check/jam; we should have decent equity and meanwhile put him in a stoopid spot. Also wouldn't hate just a cbet and go from there. Not really sure why we think just check/calling is better?

Are we attempting to rep the flush on the turn? So our story is that we 3bet preflop, likely flopped overs and a flush draw, and then... check/called the flop? I'm not buying that story. Although whether he has enough to be able to do anything about it, who knows.

Hi!

It's a really nice board for a cbet so I think you are not really representing anything with that lane. It could be a slowplay sure, but I think it is mostly air, and he may call a lot of things there.

It's a creative path, It's not correct or wrong. Congrats on trying it! How did it go?

Hello! It worked! Didn't want to be raised on flop, so decided to call it. On turn my chances were not good vs his second barrel, so I decided to try

You should have bet flop. The line you took is actually pretty awful and doesn't make much sense. Check/raising the flop is clearly superior to check/calling the flop and then leading bad turns when our equity decreases. DUCY?

I would have bet out on the flop. On the turn, your story makes little sense. However, it is 1/3 where most players are just playing their hands. It has a decent chance of working.

Whether it worked or not is dependent on his holdings. If he had a hand like Q9 or 98, this was a major fail.

Just bet flop.

As played, check/jam flop.

As played, I hate the turn bet, you don’t have any blockers to the flush… would prefer you take this line with a hand like AhKx.
I don’t think you’re ever getting Jx to fold.
You block his straight draws like Q9 and KQ which you want him to have.
Maybe you get lucky here once in a while and get Q9/89/QK to fold. But more often than not you’re getting called by a flush or Jx.

Against a loose aggro with this good of a hand/flop, I think any line here is acceptable, except a fold. Change up your lines each time to keep villain guessing!
