When you flop a big draw in a multiway pot, should you bet big or small? Ive been betting big because:
- we have more equity OTF than OTT assuming we dont hit
- more people in the hand means we have more equity relative to the size of the pot against made hands

But i dont know if my logic is flawed

Ex:
50$ 4ways OTF on J93sxs, hero has KQss on the highjack. Hero is PFR, has position on 2 players and is OOP on 1 player on the btn

I don’t tend to split my ranges as early as the flop, particularly in 4-way pots with various players that I have various reads on and where my exploitation of each of them is different or even contradictory.

I tend to bet this flop small when I bet it so I would bet it small here too.

If villains flat and a blank turn hits, that can be open season for huge bets, and you would prefer to have a nutted draw when doing that.

Whether or not to c-bet at all is going to depend on so many variables - the SPR, how many opponents we're facing, the pre-flop action, the board texture, our reads, our table image, etc.

As the PFR in a multi-way pot, with opponents in front and behind us, I'm usually starting out with a check on most flops. There's so little fold equity, and a higher likelihood that an opponent will have a strong enough hand to raise if we bet small, or call if we bet big. We don't want to get raised off our equity if we bet small, or bloat the pot with just a draw by betting big.

Even when we're last to act, I'll check back some decent draws on boards that are going to connect with a lot of opponents' pre-flop calling ranges. Like, on Js9x3s, loose-passive opponents are going to show up with J9, 99, and 33, and will occasionally even have JJ, but they can also have just a ton of Jx and 9x that won't fold flop, even if we bet big.

If we flop a good combo-draw to a nutted hand, especially if we have additional pair outs with over-cards, I could see c-betting really small, like less than 20% pot, and barreling much bigger on a lot of turns, whether we improve or not.

That less than 1/3 pot c-bet size on draw-heavy boards tends to bring out LP opponents' fears of being out-drawn. They'll usually raise with 2+, but just call with 1P and their worse draws, allowing us to barrel brick turns, when they tend to over-fold to continued aggression.

If we are in position with 2 overcards, a gutshot, and a flush draw, and people will call us with any J or 9, that seems like the default play should be betting the flop because we are an equity favorite against those 1 pair hands and we can take a free card on the turn if we want.

My desire to bet would be affected by being out of position or by being up against an opponent who will often raise my bet.
