Hey All,

Sorry if this is the wrong form since this isn't a specific hand or anything...

Yes I understand it is foolish/unrealistic to move somewhere specifically to play live low stakes no limit holdem, especially for a living. But I am still curious, where do you guys think the best places to play 1/2, 1/3 and 2/5 are?

Also, I do understand completely that it is both unrealistic and foolish to move anywhere to play low stakes live no limit. Poker isn't my main gig so don't worry about me!

Yep, wrong forum. This will get locked down or re-located shortly. Also, your post should be more specific with regard to poker goals. You say you'll have a full time or other job and poker will be second but it's also important how often and what stakes you want to play. Do you want to be able to table select? Cost of living an issue? Job market? Rake? There are many factors to consider.

Move to North county San Diego. Live by the beach and play at Ocean's 11.

Part/full time job with poker acting as a supplementary income until maybe one day I am so awesome that I can play full time.
Until then, 10-30 hours weekly (maybe more maybe less.) I have a great roll for 1/2, starting there and ideally moving up to a 2/5 scene. I do WANT to be able to table select, but I don't want to be at a casino where there are often no good games running.

Try the Casino and Cardroom Poker forum, but please do a search before posting, as that forum has had a ton of these threads. If none of the existing threads answer your questions, feel free to bump one that comes close, and/or statrt a new one that is specific about what different info you are looking for.
