1/2 game just had started at local card game. Game is nice mix of regulars with a few new faces at times sprinkled in. In general, the game plays fairly loose. Several of the losing players at the table tend to be extremely loose pre-flop i.e. call 8x raises with extremely wide ranges trying to flop gin.

At this point in the night, hero had won a few uncontested pots and had built a starting stack of 250 up to about 330 or so.

This really is more of a sizing question than anything.

Facing a MP raise and 4 (yes 4) calls hero looks down in SB at AKos, 3 bets to 100.

Anything besides 3 betting seems to be wrong here. How are you sizing your 3 bet and why. Or if you aren't 3 betting, why.

Kind of hard to help you with sizing when we don't know anything about the first raise size or stack sizes of opponents.

If you want good sizing answers, effective stacks & the original raise size would be pertinent pieces of information.

Apparently my pony is slow.

Sorry, should have included. Hero ~ 330, covers all with the exception of one player who has about 400. Stacks range from 150 - 300. Player who opened had about 220.

And opening raise was 15.

Sorry, hadn't had coffee yet.

I like the $100 on top raise pre here.

$115.

$100 is too much. $60-$70 seems better.

It's a J murdering a 3. This particular one is based on Silence of the Lambs. I have a bunch of others I rotate between too.

This seems fine too, maybe a little nit-picky considering none of our opponents are all that deep and we'll have ~ a pot sized bet left on the flop regardless.

But yes, raise is good, obviously shoving all flops

Ok cool. This wasn't much of a thread, was just curious about sizing. Results: Was called in 3 spots. each guy less than 60 left. put it in on Q98, 67cc (who was the first to call) makes straight on turn... lolz

No way 60 to 70 is enough in this spot.

a. You are OOP
b. hero is at a table that has a bunch of calling stations pre flop. Once one player calls your 60 3 bet, the other stations will talk themselves into calling for pot odds. Now you are in a bloated pot OOP multi way - not what you want with AKo

A pot size raise to 110 seems fine here.

What reads do you have on the original raiser ?

It's waaaaaay too little to be raising to $60-$70 here, pot is already c.$62 before you act, and you're OOP. I would be going $105 or so.
