Live cg 5/10.
hero ~900
Villain1 covers
Villain2 covers

Villain1: reg, taking a few low pots so far, no history with me.
Villain2: older loose arabic player, quite predictable imo

Hero is bb with a2os, villain1 limps utg, v2 calls mp, sb calls, hero checks.
Flop is ah2x2x, sb checks, hero checks ..checked behind.
Turn 5h, sb&hero check, v1 bets 30, v2 calls, sb folds, hero calls. At this no real reads on v1, guessing a flush draw on v2. So a short time on 3bet, but didnt.
River jh, (pot130) hero bets 80, v1 quickly raises to 180, v2 instant flats. Hero?
Thoughts throughout for line and bet sizing

You played it fine so far (could raise pre but whatever). Now 410/call. You are underrepresented. If V2 is really loose, he has some 2x hands, also.

I think I would c/r the turn to get value from the draws whilst they are still out there.

Once the river brings in the hearts I would be tempted to c/r again. If u got at least one caller ott theres a good chance someone has a flush, and they are unlikely to draw to it just to check behind the river.

I realise that this may sound a lot like FPS, and I wouldnt usually recommend c/r, c/r lines, but this just seems like a great spot for it.

*Preparing to get flamed by live cash regs!* :-)

cheers,

Ally

With no known barrelers in the pot, I'd just bet 3 times. Bps- boring play syndrome.

Yeah I don't see a lot of value in the flop check. If you had flopped 622 with 62o I'd like the check more cause then people can turn top pair and you get a lot of value. But here if no one has an ace you are unlikely to get value at any point anyway, and if they do have an ace you'd rather just bet bet bet vs them instead of hoping they bet the flop, call your check raise and call down big bets when you easily rep 2x from the BB.

I'd probably check raise the turn. You are likely to get called and the pot is really small so I'd like to make it bigger. Plus its nice when people draw to no outs against you.

The river lead makes no sense, I don't understand what compels people I play with to constantly lead rivers like this with the slow-played nuts, and I don't understand what compelled you to do it now. Just check again and expect a flush to bet/call. If you lead a flush is IMO too likely to just call given the paired board, especially if his flush is small.

As played I'd make it like 450-480 and fold to a shove, expecting to see 55 almost every time at that point.

Three ways on the end, somebody is likely to have a raise-worthy flush, so I don't mind the lead. Also, I like checking the flop esp. if your image is such that an A is discounted from pre (which I guess I implicitly assumed); I would not expect to get three streets of value from A7s anyway from most villains.

What's your image? The looser your opponents assume you to be, the higher should be your river raise.

FWIW, I'd raise the turn to maximize value against draws.

Yeah, I'd def bet the flop. Def want to build the pot, and get value from aces or any 2x hands or maybe even gut shots like 34 or 45.

By checking you're giving anyone with a pocket pair a free shot at your stack.

I'd also lead turn, and prob c-r river when the flush hits. They are def going to bet flushes and prob call off a shove.

don't raise pre.

def. bet flop, you want value from Ax, and if no one has it and hit their K or Q on the turn they aren't going to pay you much with the A on the board.

you're also going to get people bluffraising more often on the flop with 45, 34, etc etc as opposed to the turn when their equity isn't as good.

Hand is grossly under-repped, there's no way I'm not calling here. Checking flop is ok sometimes, but I'm ALWAYS leading turn here. You have to start getting some value at some point.
