schwallie generated a great debate. i dont think anyone disagrees that money cant buy you "everything" including happiness. problem is money can buy you almost anything and without money you are gonna be unhappy 100%. there is no way someone with 0 dollars and is homeless, hungry, etc., can be happy. if they are, god bless them and that is a very rare case. material items are needed to make people happy and if not directly than indirectly. if i can buy something for someone i care about that will make them happy, that brings me happiness obviously. just another way to look at it. if you are a miser and die alone with millions you have done something wrong and did not use your money to your advantage.
