Very agro table, with many rebuys and stacks with 150bb+ except one guy who rebuys for small stack 40-45bb.
Hero is seat 7.

Seat 3 is small rebuy guy,Asian with 80bb+/-
Likes to raise pre and straddle.
I'd mark him blue on my HUD.
Very loose calls pre, but always with hands that "make sense" K9/T6/52 etc etc.
Easy to read and bully of the pots.

Seat 5 is an Eastern European, who plays agro and likes to "gamboool".
Sitting on about 120bb.
Plays very loose pre, and agro IP postflop.
Probably running something like 70/40/5

Seat 8 is a good TAG regular, who has switched gears to very agro for the night (not on a heater from what I saw, just table dynamics).
Plays his draws very agro IP and OOP.
On his 3rd rebuy sitting on 500bb+ (in minus equity)
Saw him jam small AK/PPs and JJ+ to "weird ghey raises" as he called them, along with squeezes with hands like AJo and ATo into 4+ man preflop pots.

I'll tell what what was my plan, and then explain what happened.

UTG straddles for 3bb, Seat 3 pops is to x3.5, Seat 5 contemplate calls which looked like a SC or a small PP which is the most likely case for him (not slowplay type)
Seeing as how the pot is getting big and and Villain on seat 8 is going to jam any small PP+ and squeeze with weak A, so I elect to call in order to jam if folded to me after his squuze, or call of his jam.
Seat 8 pops it to 40bb ( saw him with corner of the eye touching his chips when seat 5 called)
All fold to seat 3 who calls for 1/2 his stack, pretty normal for him.
Now here's where it went sideways....
I was so concentrating on seat 8 to my left, that when I saw movement on the right I thought seat 5 was folding so I insta jammed.
I asked what are my options, and the whole table told me including seat 8 that I have to pull my stack back and wait for my turn (wrong ruling from what I can tell). Dealer didn't say a single word.
So I pull my stack back, and now seat 5 after going into tank mode calls, after being told by seat 8 that he knows what's going to happen.
This put me off, so I chose to over-call instead.

2 questions:
1)ruling?
2)should have jammed with so much dead money?

Flop played itself:
Spoiler:
AK8rainbow check, check, check Seat 8 bet big to cover all.
All fold, I call he shows AQo, saying he put me on AJ, when I put him on AJ/AT
Seat 5 said he's calling my jam for "value"
Seat 3 mumbled something about Jacks although I doubt he had it

1) Not an expert on rulings, but I believe it was correct since action may change.
2) Yep.

In my local casino the rule is that as long as action does not change you are required to follow through with your action. So if seat 5 had checked you are all-in. Because seat 5 called (or had he raised) the action would be changed and you could fold/call/raise.

The ruling is room dependent, seems like :

A. You didn't know the ruling about OOT action and
B. Everyone one else at the table were onboard with you pulling back your chips.

In most rooms action out of turn may be binding. Action out of turn will be binding if the preceeding action has not changed; a check, call or fold does not constitute a change in the action.
Try posting this in the B & M forum and you'll no doubt receive comments from professional dealers.

Depends on the room, I guess, but seems as if your chips should have stayed out until seat 5 acted. If seat 5 had folded, I think you should be required to jam, but if action changed, and it did, you can change your action.

I think I still jam. Looks so much stronger.

I like the plan plus the peak left at V 8 preflop. This is such and easy and powerful live tell, negating a lot of his positional advantage. I like the plan to jam over him here with the dead money out there.

The ruling is going to vary from room to room. You should never trust the players on this, even though many of them will be right if they're regs. Let the dealer or the floor tell you.

In most rooms I play in, out of turn action is binding if the action in front does *not* change. Right now the action is 40bb, so if seat 5 either calls or folds, the action to you is still 40bb and your jam should be binding. If seat 5 raises, then you can pull your bet back.
