I am sitting with about £150 and I am first to act with AQ of clubs after 4 people straddled, so its £16 on me to call. Pot is already £32.

Are we raise getting it in here?

You have ~9.5 big blinds and AQ suited. Neither your position, nor your image matter. Make it 50, shove all flops.

... DOYLE BRUNSON???

Of course you played it great. Easy shove AQ with 10BBs. Just too bad someone wake up with KK.

some villains ranges widen massively in straddle/ restraddle pots due to money in pot, less effective bbs and 'not believing'. hence call off lighter, get chips in = value $$$

I'd raise to 24 I think, weird spot.

In general, be happy to raise/get it in here.

On his (live) strategy podcast, Bart Hanson pointed out that often in a straddle pot, people don't 'notice' what an appropriate raise size is in a straddled pot; i.e.: open jamming here is fine because it's effectively 10BBs, but raising to £45 will often achieve exactly the same thing because people are still thinking of it as a 1/1 game. That's often true.

But still, get it in.

Hell, yes. Get that money in! I make it 48, and if still first to act post-flop, shove. If one of the straddlers calls, shove if checked to.

So we're lettin the last straddler see a flop for a pot that is 1+1+2+4+8+16+24=£56, for an extra £8? Layin last restraddler 7-1 can't be correct. Or the penultimaten straddler 3.5-1 for a call. Hero must raise more pre, setting up ~ pot size flop jam
