1/2 in South Florida

Hero: only been at table for like an hour, played 2 hands. One was AA in the BB, raised a button straddle to $20 got 3 callers and value bet a Q high board for 3 streets and won. 2nd hand called a mp raise to $10 from the small blind A98 flop, check called the buttons shove for $110 and he had A9 and caught a river ace to win.

V: on his third $200 rebuy since I sat down, opening lots of pots for $15 regardless of position. Fishy as they come, likes to splash around in as many pots as possible.

V opens for $10 from the hj, co calls hero calls from the button.

(I think just calling here was my first mistake, I felt like the open to $10 was a sizing tell and the he had a strong hand, but I guess I disregarded it)

Flop: Qx9s5s. V leads $15, other v calls hero raises to $50 and V ships it for about $300 other v folds and hero has about $145..

Thoughts on all streets appreciated

You're getting 2:1 versus a fishy, splashy V on their 3rd buy-in. I would call.

You flopped TPTK and you have the A spades for the nut blocker. There's no way you can fold against V given his play thus far. I don't mind the call preflop at all. I like the raise OTF. I would've played the hand the same way. Call the re-shove OTF.

pf is a 3bet 100% to 80

I don't like the flop raise when he is going to bomb the turn, when we raise and we help him and he folds we miss that value.

Preflop is not always a 3-bet. Keep fish in with KQ and QJ type hands. Even fish can fold those to a 3-bet. You have position, you have great implied odds, there is no dynamic you need to work with or build. Just call, hit top pair, get it in against a fish with an SPR of ~7. Good game.

Except we typically have A-high after the flop and have to fold or float when he cbets. This has gotta be a 3bet vs this type of player because he will call with dominated hands. Against a more straightforward opponent, yes, I flat here a lot because I expect worse hands to fold and better hands to call when I 3bet.

As played, I'm calling off expecting to see an overplayed Q or a FD very often.

I don't see why we need to raise this flop, well I guess I do see why with the other caller, but I don't think it's necessary unless you have a read and plan on snapping off should this exact situation arise. I call and re-eval turn but as played I can't really think of anything you're beating other than maybe JTss and you're actually not even beating that? maybe chopping with AQ? but I expect to see KK or AA most of the time here, can find better spots vs a fish I would think.
