I'm planning to visit San Diego for a conference and I was hoping to duck out at some point to play at the Palomar card club. After doing some research online, I was disheartened to read some warnings from a few members on this site:
Here about poor dealer decision/collusion
And
here are more stories on collusion.
I was really looking forward to seeing and getting a vibe on what a card room is about and to play a 2/3 game for my first time. Now I'm thinking I should just stick to the small talk banter at the conference
or head up back to my room and play online.
I realize it's a "your miles may vary", so are there reg. players who can refute or substantiate the claims on poor dealer decision and or collusion?
Also heard El Cajon Blvd is dangerous at night. I guess it's no fun playing and then getting robbed afterwards...
