I thought I would analyze some of the hands from this live vlog as a way to motivate and get better - not sure if this is cool or uncool - if I am trolling myself or w/e... just doing it for shits and giggles. I think this particular player has some interesting spots and overall plays ok. I tried posting comments in his vlog thread on youtube - but for some reason they won't let me - I think they don't allow cutting and pasting ... so perhaps you guys can weigh in on my analysis and questions and maybe even the vlogger will jump in as well.

Here is the VLOG:

Do you feel there is a difference between the play at Round Rock vs Dallas? The same - better or worse?

88 @ :47 -
+ 12 is the straddle and you 3x it to 35 - is there any merit in making it 50? (doubling the pot essentially) I think 3x is not enough considering all the dead money (straddles and blinds). He's just calling with a bunch there.
+ flop - I disagree with the cbet - I think we check there to realize equity he's calling all jacks 2p and every single back door draw in the book - if you get raised it really sucks to get smacked. I say check and keep his wide range in...
+as played turn - I like the check back for the reasons above -
+ river - yes you need 26% to call (maybe give your viewers how you come to that conclusion by providing the formula on screen - since a lot of your viewers are likely novice) - let's say he's betting EVERYTHING that he called here otf:

JJ-99,77-66,AQo-A6o,KQo-K8o,QJo-Q9o,JTo-J8o,T9o-T8o,98o-96o,87o-86o,76o,K2s,AhJh,AcJc,AhTh,AcTc,AsTs,Ah9h,As9s,Ah8 h,Ac7c,As7s,Ac6c,Ah5h,Ac5c,As5s,Ah4h,Ac4c,As4s,Ah3 h,Ac3c,As3s,Ah2h,Ac2c,As2s,KhQh,KcQc,KsQs,KhJh,KcJ c,KhTh,KcTc,KsTs,Kh9h,Ks9s,Kh8h,Kc7c,Ks7s,Kc6c,Kh5 h,Kc5c,Ks5s,Kh4h,Kc4c,Ks4s,Kh3h,Kc3c,Ks3s,QhJh,QcJ c,QhTh,QcTc,QsTs,Qh9h,Qs9s,Qh8h,Qc7c,Qs7s,Qc6c,Qh5 h,Qc5c,Qs5s,Qh4h,Qc4c,Qs4s,Qh3h,Qc3c,Qs3s,Qh2h,Qc2 c,Qs2s,JhTh,JcTc,Jh9h,Jh8h,Jc7c,Jc6c,Jh5h,Jc5c,Th9 h,Ts9s,Th8h,Tc7c,Ts7s,Tc6c,9h8h,9s7s,8h5h,7c6c,7c5 c,7s5s,7c4c,7s4s,6c5c,6c4c,6c3c,5h4h,5c4c,5s4s,5h3 h,5c3c,5s3s,5h2h,5c2c,5s2s,4h3h,4c3c,4s3s,4h2h,4c2 c,4s2s,3h2h,3c2c,3s2s

336 combos - now he leads with those 168 of those combos BEAT us -and we beat 168 of those other combos - ace highs, missed backdoor draws and all his 7x hands etc - it's 50/50 not 75/25 - so because of this I believe this hand is a fold. (pulled the info from Flopzilla).

aa 1:35 - Whoa watsup with the splashy throwing the chips all over the place? - is that how you ordinarily raise? - just announce your raise and calmly put your chips in - that could be a huge tell man!

AQ @ 2:23 - It would be good to know what the stacks are - you 200bb effective here? If so why do you want to play AQo oop in a mwp???? calling and not raising is REALLY bad! If he's got KJ there and the callers are even worse then you should be raising for value - just like with the AA hand before. It's likely he's going to fold that KJ pre so you would have won that pot pre and taken the dead money down. Secondly, let's say you 3b pre and he calls with his KhJx and you gii otf - you're doing good vs him w/ 50% equity.

Curious about the PLO bomb pots - is that in the 2/5 game only? Does everyone have to agree to play it?

11:57 - don't use the results to make excuses for further plays. That's called "results-oriented" thinking!

AK @ 12:47 - I think OTR this is a spot where you're just barely getting in mathematically for a call - but really - is a texas fish betting big into two players in 3b pot oop ott for value and is your value better or worse than his value? I think it's a gross spot but it will increase your win rate to find spots to make exploitive river folds. This is one of those spots.
