1/2 game .. i was running fairly well and was sitting on about 450 .. competent kid (V1) at other end of the table and crazy old guy(V2) in the middle ..

V1 opens for 10 UTG+1 .. folds to V2 in MP he flats .. I have AA on BTN i make it 28 .. folds to V1 and V2 both call

Flop is AA8

V1 bets 16 .. V2 makes it 45 .. I flat ... V1 folds

Turn: 9

V2 checks .. I check ..

River: 9

V2 bets 65 .. i make it 145 he snap calls...

V1 jumps up out of his seat and yells F**K! I folded 99!

Then i yelled F**K!!! and showed the AA to win the pot ... V2 never showed but we would have hit the BB Jackpot w/o his dumb ass raise. Wont ever forget that hand!

Haha something like that happened to me once at casino Az. I had aks opened preflop got 3b and called ip.
Flop came a a a . He bet bet shoved. Then showed kq....jj+ would have made me 11k bc it was after 2 am during double bbj hours lol. So close but at least I doubled up.

I like how villain snap called when he had 8's full at best. lol

that is how you win a pot with quads and not feel good about it

Curse V2 for being an aggrotard for raising a dry flop lol. In my opinion V2 played absolutely horrible.

Most players with 88 would tend to flat that flop and raise the turn if V1 bet or bet if it's checked to him.

He most likely didn't have 88 imo... Probably a higher pocket pair like 1010/JJ and was raising to find out where he was. Once you just flatted he was obv suspicious. Seems like a block bet on the river and a frustration call.

Wish I was V1 I probably make a similar play but talk myself into calling one time on the flop and GIN! I'm a bad player though. Nh anyway xD
