Hi all,

5/T/25, 7-handed, hero has been decently active but not out of line, just got to showdown with A4hh which we opened UTG1. Next hand hero opens AKo UTG to $65, fish calls in CO and, btn - random British guy wearing a Bentley jacket - 3! to $325. V has 4! jammed AQo $1,300 eff. We started with $1,600. Merits to flatting: keep fish in pot. Merits to 4!: take down all the dead money with AK. (Folding...nah.)

Thanks,
DT

It is going to be hard for the fish to stay in the hand even if you call, so I'd go with the 4 bet.

I don't love the idea of trying to play AK OOP and shallow, and I agree that the fish is not that likely to come along anyway. If you shove it in his face and win $400 without even seeing a flop, that's a fine result, imo.

Thanks. Results - I jammed and V tank called and ran it once ("sorry," he said) and runout Q-3-3-x-x. We table, V tables TT. I guess he can buy another part for his Bentley.

Shove and put the onus on him. OOP in a bloated pot with a small SPR and AKo is no fun.

Against this guy, and with 60 bb's, I can't see doing anything other than jamming.

I'm not concerned at all about "keeping the fish in" when we have ace high.
