Game is $2-$100 spread-limit. Optional $4 UTG straddle on, Effective stack $200.

HAND: UTG has a $4 live-straddle on. UTG1 raises to $8. One player in LP calls. I raise to $37 in the SB with AdKs. Fold fold, UTG1 raiser calls, heads-up.

FLOP: 8c5h4s (pot: $80, heads-up). I bet $20, he calls.

TURN: 8c5h4s (pot: $120, heads-up). I check, he bets $50 and has $190 behind.

Fold, call, or check-raise all-in to $150?

RESULT: I called, thinking I am ahead a decent chunk of the time, and likely have six outs when I’m behind.

RIVER: 8c5h4s Jc Kd (pot: $220)

I check, he bets $50 (???), I just call (???) and he tables

PRE - I don't understand why you're making it $37. Make it $35 or $40. Stop using raise sizes that use $1 and $2 chips. I'd probably make it $40, if not $45, since the min-click is BS, as is the flat call from LP, and we'll be OOP for the rest of the hand. We don't mind taking the pot down pre-flop, and avoiding rake.

FLOP - Assuming the LP flatter folded pre, since you said we're heads up. Prefer to just check when we're OOP on this board that doesn't really favor our 3B'ing range. If we want to bet, we should probably go much bigger, since we'd be betting this flop fairly infrequently.

TURN - Not sure why we're check-calling on the Jc. Feel like we should either be betting to rep over-pairs, check-raising to rep JJ, or check-folding because we don't rep $hlt. Check-jamming wouldn't ever occur to me, because why would we?

RIVER - Aight. We made TPTK. Why are we checking? Is it to induce a worse hand to bet? Then why aren't we raising? If we think our hand is best and we can target some worse hands for value, why not just bet out, rather than risk V checking back with some 8x BS?

My preferred line would be check flop, see if he bets, check-call if he does, make a delayed c-bet on turn if he doesn't. Check-call turn and river if V bets flop. If he checks flop and we delay c-bet turn, barrel the river.

V's line of call 1/4 pot bet on flop, betting less than half pot on turn, and making the same bet on river is pretty weak. No idea what he's trying to rep, but it smells like a weak 1P.
