AK clubs in a 3 bet pot... AK clubs in a 3 bet pot...

I personally don't like the $20 bet/fold line because it is so different from the way I would usually value bet in this position, so like you said, P4MS, it would be so weak, whereas I will sometimes check here with a monster. Maybe in a tournament or for others who use these small bets when value betting this line works, but that's why I prefer the check/fold line.

Lets look at the facts as i see them anyhow.

-They will rarely bluff raise us.
-We dont have to care about balance.
-We narrow their range really well if they only call the $15 or $20.
-They will raise with top pair often to a $15 or $20 bet.
-I do rep weakness. How will he react? I think he will act straight forward and raise top pair and be happy to call with all his weaker range.

I could go on a bit.

So this is why I do it. Im not sure I know what you mean by the ego statement. This is just purely going by the facts as I see them.

Was just scrolling down to see if someone would mention this. THIS. THIIIIIIIIIS

+111111!!!!!!!one

edit: might even just shove all in preflop cuz if you don't flop something u have reverse implied odds working against u...

Well probably not AJ...But we are forcing villain to incorrectly fold most pp's, and 14 combos of AK and we are forcing him to correctly fold 15 combos of AJ...sounds good to me!

wow...what a juicy table huh? As was stated before either c/f or shove would work here but shove=higher EV play than c/f obviously. And im assuming you would play AA-QQ this way so villain made huge mistakes pre/postflop! WP imo!!

He tanked because he thought I had AA or KK, but couldnt find a fold button. I dont think he meant to slowroll; just makes no sense why he would call pre if he thought of folding the flop with TP

I dont disagree with you, hence why I posted. If we made it more pre, are you attacking the flop more aggressively. Say we made it 32-38 preflop, hero....?
